I love the preaching of Pastor Jude! Love you Bro!

John 5:37-40…. And the Father who sent me has himself testified concerning me. You have never heard his voice nor seen his form, nor does his word dwell in you, for you do not believe the one he sent. You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life “. … My thoughts…. Wow!! Jesus speaking to the Pharisees. They were ordained Bible teachers of their community. They seemed highly qualified to teach the Scriptures because of their great learning. They memorized vast portions of the Bible. These Bible scholars were hard working, disciplined and, in the popular mind, very moral.(sound familiar?) They were the most respected men of that time, yet Jesus loved them, but intensely disliked them(to me I think he acted like he did). Jesus called them names, heritics, denounced their actions and rejected their teachings. As a matter of fact he used them as negative examples. Tho they knew the words of the Bible, they missed the message….ever live that way? Or was it just me? Or is it the church down the street? Knowing the words of the bible doesn’t make you a Christian any more than a Cowboy hat makes you a Cowboy…Wow.. To be so close to the Messiah, and yet still a million miles away..You have to live Gods word out loud!! It’s a personal relationship that’s needed… Bottom line.. Miss Jesus.. Miss life…your loss.. No excuses.. Don’t be the modern day Pharisee of today that upsets Jesus the most .. The leadership that denies life to the common people …,by walking around in the nice suit, looking holy.. In other words .. Or rather in Jesus words.. “Be careful, Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees… Bam !!! Nuff said.. Word
