Oh my precious, Almighty God, Heavenly Father, You have made Your Presence known to Americans throughout our history by Your mighty works. From day one and beyond, You have been with us. Your Right Arm of ultimate power has saved us through many wars and conflicts. We have been amazingly and graciously blessed in all our days.
Today, by Your Spirit to convict and to help, we confess our sin of not allowing You to retain the position of right rule over our lives, families, churches, and our nation. We have reviled and cast off Your will while commanding our own, and are now entirely under Your verdict in judgment. We repent of our arrogance before You. Move us, at all costs, back to Yourself, that You may return to us once again. We need You. We must experience Your mercy, grace, forgiveness, and healing in our land. Without You . . . we can do nothing! You have promised that if we humble ourselves before You and turn from our ways of wickedness, honor You by seeking Your face, You will once again honor us with Your forgiving healing hand of mercy! For Your honor and glory we pray, in Jesus, Amen!
