More good news for those needing free food in Bernalillo County. The sheriff’Department is Departnemts department is making home deliveries and I can attest to the fact that they work fast!! I called for help one day and received this in less than 24 hours! God bless them. Doing God’s work.
I found out about this effort from a dear friend who sent me this email:
Call 331-9378 the sheriff’s department will deliver one box of stuff for people who can’t get out. (food and supplies)
This is for anyone who is handicapped, sick and can’t get out and have no assistance also low income.
The sheriff’s department needs more people and addresses to deliver to or they will have to shut down the service.
If you know anyone who could use this service have them call.
Franchesca – This announcement came through the prayer chain at St John’s UMC. Please call – help them continue the service and give you some of what you need now. You probably should not be going to the grocery stores any more than you have to right now. I called and found their mail box full, so let’s say a prayer that when you call someone will answer. Please don’t give up; call more than once.”
