Welcome to the House of Hope. I’m Pastor Dewey Moede. How are you doing today? Feeling down? I understand!

I am feeling sad this morning that I am not going to FBC in Reserve this morning to preach. I miss all my friends…I miss preaching the Word of God. I miss the children of the Church.Their are Churches in America that do not have the capability, the equipment, the infrastructure to broadcast their services.

The FGGAM website has been extra busy since the pandemic. So many new visitors. We are attempting to serve the best we can. The Lord is giving us the wisdom, discernment and patience with all those sending us fake news reports and all sorts of rumors.

We are doing a lot of ministry by phone, talking to people that need to feel the love of Jesus! I also love reading scripture to folks over the phone! Last night Sharon and I were conversing with a young woman here in Albuquerque who is going through a divorce, it is so very, made tougher by the times we live in.

Please pray for all Pastors and Churches and please do not forget to continue your tithing to your Church.

I have shared with you all before that no politician or political party is going to save us. We have heard so much talk from the President, congress, and others on government bailouts, stimulus financial plans.

Our son Lars and daughter Gretchen have been laid off from their places of work. Hospital’s here are laying off nurses! Very strange times we live in. Our world has been turned upside down. So many Americans are out of work…22 million.

From the Old Testament, Exodus 14:13-14; “but Moses told the people , ‘don’t be afraid. Just stand still and watch the Lord rescue you today.” Hear those words? “THE LORD WILL RESCUE YOU”!

I pray that this message will encourage you in the Lord. Portions of this message are taken from a devotional written by Pastor Leonard Navarre.

Listen in now Dear Ones!

I also want to share this post with you today:

This is a very tragic situation. We need a week of Prayer all over America. So many people are hurting, losing their jobs, many are losing their businesses, they have closed up. Our world has been turned upside down. This will take more than a stimulus check to fix! This needs to be a Great Awakening here in America! We need to seek the face of JESUS! REPENT AMERICA! We got so greedy and turned away from the Lord, we sold out to China. We deal with this very evil country that kills their own people, blows up Churches, puts pastors in prison, controls many for our pharmaceutical’s, and things in our everyday lives! Why did we sell out to these killers? GREED! LAZINESS! Why do we deal with China and Putin? Why? This is not Biblical! Hosea 4:4… My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. “Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children. 1 Cor. 15:33 Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.” I thank the folks at WalletHub for this report. I also have posted two links from the ABQ Journal. I am praying for all those business owners who poured their heart and soul into their dream of owning their own business, blood, sweat and tears….and they may never be able to open again. I have a friend that has a small business here in Albuquerque who was kicked out of her space by her landlord because she is a ‘nonessential business’ (I dislike that term very much)  the Landlord wants an active business in her space. There is too much ugly out there. LORD JESUS! MAY ALL COME TO YOU!

WalletHub Q&A

How do the job losses from coronavirus compare to those caused by the Great Recession?

“During the Great Recession, a grand total of 8.8 million Americans lost their jobs. The coronavirus pandemic has already claimed 22 million jobs,” said Jill Gonzalez, WalletHub analyst. “While there have been 22.7 million jobs created since the Great Recession, COVID-19 is unfortunately on track to wipe out all of the job gains by the end of this week, according to WalletHub projections.”

How do red states and blue states compare when it comes to increases in unemployment?

“With an average unemployment rank of 24, Red States suffered a higher increase of their unemployment during the coronavirus outbreak than Blue States, which rank 29 on average,” said Jill Gonzalez, WalletHub analyst. “The lower the rank, the higher the increase in initial unemployment claims that state received during the coronavirus pandemic.”

The state with the current largest number of COVID-19 cases in the U.S. is New York. How has New York’s unemployment rate been affected?

“New York has seen a 783% increase in initial unemployment claims from the beginning of 2020 to the 15th week,” said Jill Gonzalez, WalletHub analyst. “This is better than the average increase of 1,709%.”

What can states do in order to minimize the rise in their unemployment rates?

“States should aggressively focus on helping the companies in the most need. The federal response will include sending checks to most citizens, even those whose income has not been affected by the coronavirus. States can use a more targeted approach to divert resources to the companies affected the most, thus having maximum impact for the money spent,” said Jill Gonzalez, WalletHub analyst.
