Medicine For The Soul…
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. Isn’t it funny how things move smoothly and then a storm. We just got to learn to laugh and keep going. The scripture in Psalm 126:2 says our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy. Then it was said among the nations, The Lord has done great things for them. Sometimes we just need a good laugh and keep going.
I tend to be more serious, so I have to remind myself to laugh. During this time when we are in isolation and many folks are alone, we need to remember to share some humor with them as well.
I was remembering this morning a time when this man drove in my yard and was giving my brother a hard time. He had his voice recorder on his phone set to record as he began to engage my brother, expecting him to react.
Little did he know my brother didn’t have his hearing aids in and just kept nodding his head, telling the man it was nice to see him. After a while he saw it wasn’t working, the other man left with my brother waving good bye.
In Proverbs 17:22 A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.
So, today let’s fill our lives with some laughter. Be kind to yourself if you make a mistake. Find a reason to laugh and share it with another.
Let’s Pray:
Father, thank you for joy. The joy of the Lord is our strength. (Nehemiah 8:10) During this time in our world, may we still find some humor in our day.
All across this globe today, we declare joy. May we choose to worship our God and sing songs of praise unto the Lord God most high, as we wave good-bye to the enemy of our soul. Amen
Have a blessed day God’s beautiful people. Find some humor in your day, it’s good medicine for the soul.
