“When words are many, sin is not absent, but he who holds his tongue is wise. The tongue of the righteous is choice silver, but the heart of the wicked is of little value.”
Proverbs 10:19-20
WOW! This question is so very timely. This is a huge problem in America. It is an epidemic in Washington D.C. and in so many, many politicians on both sides. Use God as your filter, use your God given discernment. Vet your candidates with God’s Word! Amen! I beleive most of America is beyond being shocked now by lies. The other thing that bothers my spirit so much is people talking bad about one another!!! Politicians are throwing mud so much now, its horrible! Back in the day we called that mud slinging, but now it seems common practice, a way of life in America. WOW! What a horrible example for our children! The name calling, the tweets, the Facebook, all that ugly is horrible.
It is not just the politicians, it is many folks.
I still blush..when I hear or see something not good. My Dad blushed to the end of his life. Does anybody else blush anymore. I do not think America knows what blushing means.
What does blush mean as my grandbabies ask?…..”develop a pink tinge in the face from embarrassment or shame.”
So many Christians show an unbelieving world what it wants to see…Christians behaving badly!
so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish. Ephesians 5:27
Pray team Jesus for Pastors and all Churches…….I love the pictures of old Churches….I think of all the Preachers that served in them. I don’t know their names but I thank the Lord for their service to that Church and the body of Christ. Janice Polk White from Minnesota takes the most wonderful pictures of old Churches. If those walls could talk! As we face this pandemic, let us be more united in Jesus than ever before. Let us shine for Jesus greater than ever! Let us show an unbelieving world JESUS and HIS ways! Yesterday I saw a post on Facebook of a layperson attacking a Pastor. Not good. This person claims to be a Christian, but this is not the behavior of a Christian. We will not move the Bride of Christ forward with this type of behavior. This type of ugly shows an unbelieving world what it wants to see from Christians. UNITY IN JESUS! THE LOVE OF JESUS!
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another:
just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.
By this all people will know that you are my disciples,
if you have love for one another.

Why does our culture accept lies without shame or guilt?Apr 18, 2020 |

From the writings of the Rev. Billy Graham
Q: Growing up I was taught that lying was bad, unacceptable, and would lead to destruction. Today it seems that our culture accepts lies and there’s no need for shame or guilt. Why is this? — B.L. A: As sin has progressed and gained momentum, mankind seems to have lost the ability to be shocked. Behavior that was once considered abominable is now acceptable. There are many new sinners today, but there aren’t any new sins, just the old ones clothed in different rags. Satan is the father of lies (John 8:44) and has been lying from the beginning. He was behind each of the major crises of faith and obedience down through the centuries. And he still deceives gullible men and women of every age. An old Scottish clergyman said the devil has two lies that he uses at two different stages. Before we commit a sin, he tells us that one little sin doesn’t matter — “no one will know.” The second lie is that after we’ve sinned he tells us we’re hopeless. Truth is we have all fallen, individually and collectively, and God does not consider this a trifling matter. Judgment hangs over the whole human race because of rebellion and disobedience. God’s Word says, “Sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned” (Romans 5:12, NIV). The Good News is because Jesus Christ came and died on the cross and rose from the dead, we are not in a hopeless position. We can be reconciled to God and put back in right relationship with Him by accepting His provision for sin: His Son, Jesus Christ. It is important to know God’s truth set forth in Scripture so that we can confidently discern between His truth and Satan’s lies. ======== (This column is based on the words and writings of the late Rev.
