Famous Words…
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. My first mentor Julie is now in her nineties. She has been having difficulty with her reading. I have seen God do so many things through this sweet lady. She has been a great friend and has always taken me straight to the scriptures for strength. She journeyed with me through some of my darkest days. I will forever be grateful for her influence on my life. She had a motherly way about her that was such a blessing. She also had a way that could humble you very quickly. She was my biggest cheerleader, but also had a way of bringing correction to me in love when I was wrong. She is someone I wish you could meet. I am sure she would say at least two words to you all, be thankful.
I started recording my writings each day so she could see and hear me. Although she has moved to live with her children many miles away, I know her faithful prayers are with me.
Today, I wanted to share about a little adventure Julie accompanied me on. I can get into deep waters pretty quickly beautiful people, how about you? I was taking empty pill bottles and ziplock bags full of toiletries to another churches women’s group across the border. They were going to add what we had collected from our church to their collection and send it on to Sierra Leone where one of our local doctors was working on Mercy Ships. The car was packed too full and Julie squeezed in as we made our journey to cross the border.
I can remember that day just like it was yesterday. She said Angel, you only want me to come with you because I am an old lady with a pug. She was referring to the bun she had twisted her long silky gray hair into, on the top of her head. We both laughed as I nervously approached the border.
Let’s Pray:
Father, thank you for your love for mankind. In you, there are no borders. Every person today across this globe has great value. Father, we here in America enjoy a lot that we just take for granted. We ask you to forgive us.
Father, today we simply come to say how grateful we are for all the blessings you have bestowed upon our lives. Not because we deserve it, but because of the great mercy you have shown our nation.
Father, we pray for the world today. Thank you for meeting needs according to your riches in heaven. (Philippians 4:19)
Father, draw people from around the globe to yourself, we pray. Amen.
Have a blessed day God’s beautiful people. Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful. Famous Words by Jesus Christ. Luke 6:36
