Racism in America and the Role of the Church

This morning on the House of Hope I want to share with you about racism and the Church.

Billy Graham once wrote in his book, World Aflame: “In Christ the middle wall of partition has been broken down. There is no Jew, no Gentile—no black, white, yellow, or red. We could be one great brotherhood in Jesus Christ. However, until we come to recognize Him as the Prince of Peace and receive His love in our hearts, the racial tensions will increase, racial demands will become more militant, and a great deal of blood will be shed. The race problem could become another flame out of control!”

Come on Church, get out and carry out the Great Commission, we are losing America to Satan, HATE is destroying America, brick by brick! I SEE IT!!! DON’T YOU? From Red Letter Christians Wake Up:

“Then Jesus approached and said to them, ‘All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.  And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.’”

–Matthew 28:18-20

We have been called.  Our task is clear.  Are we doing it?  Are we getting out of our comfort zone and evangelizing non-Christians to join us in living lives of love?  All power in heaven and on earth has been given to us.  Are we using our power?  This is a tough issue.  We live in our comfort zone.  Yet Christ depends upon us to make him real in the world

“For God shows no partiality.”
—Romans 2:11

“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him…”
—Genesis 1:27
