Tony Dungy and Dabo Swinney ‘Huddle Up!’ with Fellowship of Christian Athletes Online This Wednesday Evening

Sports Stars Engage with Coaches and Athletes Worldwide in Primetime YouTube Virtual Huddle with FCA

KANSAS CITY, Mo.—In this current socially-distanced landscape, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA, www.fca.org) is innovating and creatively offering ways to coaches and athletes to connect through #FCAvirtual.

Over the past several weeks, FCA has hosted “Huddle Up!” YouTube events. The global sports gatherings feature nationally known sports standouts who talk about their faith journeys with viewers.

WHO:      Fellowship of Christian Athletes welcomes legendary coaches Tony Dungy and Dabo Swinney, with emcee Benjamin Watson of the NFL. Swinney and Watson will also be joined by their wives to discuss the topic of marriage.

WHAT:    “Huddle Up!”—A Global Sports Gathering

WHERE: YouTube.com/fcavideo

WHEN:    8 p.m. ET Wednesday, May 6

WHY:       FCA’s #FCAvirtual initiative brings together coaches and athletes to engage together even when they may not be able to meet in person.

HOW:      Join the Huddle at YouTube.com/fcavideo any time before Wednesday’s event

“In this season without sports, FCA hopes these all-in, virtual Huddles will encourage and challenge coaches, athletes, parents and fans who are searching for connection and sports-related content,” said FCA President and CEO Shane Williamson. “Nearly every coach and athlete on every level has experienced disappointment, from cancelled tournaments, ended seasons and the loss of camaraderie with their teams. It is comforting to know that professional athletes at the highest level share these struggles as well and that they rely on Jesus for peace and guidance.”

For the “Huddle Up!” initiative, FCA has partnered with Professional Athletes Outreach (PAO) and Nations of Coaches. To learn more about #FCAvirtual, visit www.fca.org/virtual, or #FCAvirtual on Twitter and Instagram.
