What We Need the Most

Our world is in need of many things . . .

A cure or a vaccine to the coronavirus.
Health to be restored.
Jobs to open back up.
Provision for families in need.
And more!

My heart grieves at how polarized our communities have turned and how we’re fighting against one another over opinions.

Each person has a different perspective based on where they are in their lives.

My husband and I ventured out the other night to dine out for the first time since March. It was not the same type of pleasurable experience I remember before.

Fear, nervousness, and offense are rampant in our society.

When things are out of control around me, I do the only thing I know is best to do–press into the Lord in prayer and diving into His Word.

I believe that the natural solutions will manifest when the spiritual matters are dealt with first.

And I know what the spiritual vaccine for fear is … it’s God’s perfect love!

“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love” (1 John 4:18 NKJV).

That’s what we need the most — God’s perfect love!

God gave us HIS perfect love in HIS Son, Jesus Christ.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

God loves us so much HE sent Jesus. Jesus loved us so much, He gave up His own life for us to give us everlasting life. That everlasting life starts the moment we accept His love. It’s not only for the sweet bye and bye, though that is significant.

Jesus said, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly” (John 10:10).

The thief is the enemy, the principalities of the dark world. Not people. Jesus came so that we can have life and life with abundance. What did Jesus have in abundance? LOVE.
