It might be a little long.. But worth the read… I know I needed it this morning..

In Nehemiah 4:10-18 it was put in Nehemiah’s heart to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem, he willingly left the security of his home and job in Persia to follow God on an ”impossible mission”. And from beginning to end Nehemiah always prayed for God’s help.. and his prayer always reminded God of His promise.. I love the part of this Scripture in Verses 15-18,” When our enemies heard that we were aware of their plot and that God had frustrated it, we all return to the wall each to his own work. From that day on, half of my men did the work , while the other half were equipped with Spears, Shields , Bows and armor. The officers posted themselves behind all the people of Judah who were building the wall. Those who carried materials did their work with one hand and held a weapon in the other and each of the builders wore his sword at his side as he worked. “ Bottom line…. while the workers were spread out doing the work on the wall, God gave Nehemiah, A plan of defense that would unite and protect his people, Half the man worked while the other half stood guard… we as Proclaiming believers, need to help one another in the same way because we can become so afraid of possible dangers that we can’t get anything done. By looking out for each other we will be free to put forth our best effort, confident that others are ready to offer help when needed. We must stop cutting ourselves off from others through division, we must join together for the better of God’s purpose. We may not have Nehemiah’s unique abilities or feel that we are in a position where we can do anything great for God. But God has given us all our own uniqueness, there are two ways you can become useful to God, first be a person who talks to God, welcome him into your thoughts, and share yourself with him your concerns, your hurts, your feelings, your dreams. And the second, be a person who walks with God. In other words be the message in the shoes…. walk the walk don’t just talk the talk… Put what you learn from His Word into action… And who knows.. God may have an”impossible mission “ that He wants to do through you… that is all.. Lord let it begin with me..
