Hello Everyone,
Elections are behind us and we will bring you results soon. Some of them are still being counted, so we will wait in order to provide you with accurate information.
At this time I would like to let you all know that of the 8 Senator minus the late Senator Cisneros we lost 5 of those seats as well as Representative Joseph Sanchez.The only Democrat Senators who survived this election were Senator Pete Campos, and Senator George Munoz.
When our founding fathers signed the Declaration of Independence they knew that they were doing so and it would potentially cost them their lives and their fortunes, yet they knew it was the only way. At the end of the Declaration they said “We pledge our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor. Many of them died penniless, but they gave it all for the sake of freedom.
Like our founding fathers, these 5 Senators and 1 Representative chose life to their own peril, politically. The Governor and Planned Parenthood pursued them with a vengeance. While our hearts are heavy, I just can’t help believe that although they lost this battle, they were the catalysts for us to help New Mexicans value life once more. They have also opened the eyes of those in their party to see how intolerant the leadership really is. There is no place for life there.
