America, God Shed His Grace…

Good morning beautiful people, good morning. Happy 4th of July. This morning I  am reminded of a prayer I wrote praying for revival on July 4th, 2013. It’s been seven years of penning intercession before a great and mighty God asking him and thanking him for revival. I just had to share the beginning of my penning prayers for revival.

America…(7/4/2013)

I sit on the edge of my bed this morning and pray for revival for America once again. It brings to remembrance my daughter Brooke when she was in the first grade (1995) sang and signed to a medley of patriotic songs in a Little Miss pageant our city held. Her blue dress adorned with red and white stars and sequins that made her shine brightly, blessed this mother’s memory this morning.

America The Beautiful was her first selection and I can still hear her little voice belt out the words. Oh beautiful for spacious skies, for amber waves of grain, for purple mountain majesties above the fruited plain. America, America God shed his grace on thee, and crown thy good with brotherhood from sea to shining sea. Then she sang, God Bless America Land that I love. Stand beside her, and guide her, through the night with a light from above. From the mountains, to the prairies, to the oceans, white with foam, God bless America, My home sweet home.

Lord you said in your Word if my people who are called by my name would humble themselves and pray and turn from their wicked ways you would heal our land. Our land is filled with evil. Revive it again, we pray.

Today, Lord I pray for courage. Courage for myself to stand strong against the tide, even when it costs me relationships, positions, etc. I pray for my fellow American’s you give them courage. Courage to choose the high road and the way our country was founded on.

God you are still God and I will put my trust in you.

Pray for America today and be full of courage to stand for what is right.

Father, seven years later the mountains seem higher but your grace brings them down low. Father, today we celebrate freedom and we lift our hearts to you knowing that your grace has been extended to our nation and it’s people.

Father, 2020 the year of vision. Thank you for opening the eyes, so all can know the truth and the truth will set us all free. (John 8:36)

Father, awaken the hearts of people in our nation. May they say No to hate, No to racism, No to oppression. May there truly be life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness for all. Amen

Have a blessed day God’s beautiful people. Thank God for his grace! Stand Strong!

The law was brought in so that the trespass might increase. But where sin increased, grace increased all the more, so that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 5:20-21
