God Bless you Pastor Rick Frederickson for your wonderful message to us!!! We love you and Sue so very much!

Count your blessings

We are living in an uncertain time of trouble. Coronavirus, civil unrest, division, economic interruption and mandates affect each of us, both Christians and others. It is easy to be become distracted and discouraged and fall into despair. There is a very thin line between those things and things like anger, or just plain giving up.

So it’s important for us to remember.

Remember that we are people of God. We are to trust in Him.

Isaiah 41:10: “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Remember where God has delivered us from. Jesus has delivered us from slavery to sin and death.

Romans 8:1-10: 1 “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.”

Remember God’s wondrous works and mighty acts. Remember God’s blessings.

Psalm 105:5: “Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced . . .”

Jeremiah 17:7-8: “But blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”

Remember God is with you.

Matthew 28:20: “And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Yes, we need to remember God and focus on him. Why? Because there will be times of drought – times of pandemic, unrest, economic challenges.

Focus on God. Count God’s blessing throughout all your life. And, as the writer of the hymn says, “And the things of earth will grow strangely dim.” Remember, and count your blessings.

“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”
