How Powerful Is Gentleness?
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. Recently, I heard some folks yelling. The voices were loud and it was very unsettling to say the least. God’s Word tells us to be gentle with people and angry with the enemy of our soul.
1 Peter 3:4 tells us our beauty should not come from outward appearance, rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.
Gentleness is a fruit of the spirit as well. Love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. (Galatians 5:22-23)
The quality of being kind, tender, or mild-mannered, meekness. When people are fighting, there seems that one party feels they have to win. Let’s be winners on Christs side using a spirit of gentleness and self control. Amen? Amen.

Father, thank you for developing a spirit of gentleness in us. Father, all the violence in our world we need a gentle, kind spirit. You are with us every day to change us more into your image.
Father, when we have been done wrong, you will repay. We do not take revenge, but leave room for your wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord.
Father, deepen the spirit of gentleness in us all today. May our world become a little softer, a little gentler today because of Jesus, the gentle shepherd that lives within us. Amen.
