The Little Gold Trust Box…
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. I was talking with a friend recently about trusting God even when we don’t understand. It has been many years now that I had made little boxes wrapped in gold paper with a maroon ribbon beautifully tied around the box and glued the words trust on each box. I believe I was using them for an event at a local church tea. We were collecting food for the Gift (Grace Interfaith Food Table) here in our town. I had kept my trust box for many years in my kitchen until I could barely read the words trust that was boldly typed and glued on the side of the box. I told you my cooking gets a little out of hand at times. (lol) I must look to see if I have another one somewhere here in my half packed up home.
As I drove a friend to the airport for another journey across the world as a medical doctor, I mentioned the trust boxes to her. Oh, she said I still have mine. You had given me one. I mentioned to my sister the little gold trust box and she said I still have mine. Apparently, I gave them out to many people encouraging them to trust God sometime during their journey. I must go take a picture of one them soon for my memory book if I can’t find another one.
When things are good, it’s easy to trust God. When things are difficult, it is not so easy to trust God. I have a friend that takes the Word of God, her Bible and actually stands on it and declares I am standing on God’s promises.
Today, let’s stand on the Word of God together and let’s declare we are trusting God. Let’s pull out our little gold trust boxes and let’s believe.
Let’s Pray:
Father, we believe you are working all things out in our world today. Even when we can’t see you working, you are working. Father, we are putting all our trust in you and you alone. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. (Psalm 20:7)
Father, you said in Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.
Father, thank you for journeying every day with us. Holy Spirit lead and guide us today and every day as we put all our trust in you, in you alone. Amen.
Have a blessed day God’s beautiful people. Keep in faith believing.
But I trust in you, Lord, I say, You are my God. Psalm 31:14
