He Makes All Things New…
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. This morning I was reading from Isaiah 43 where God says he will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. (v.19) In verse 18 he tells us not to remember the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing the prophet Isaiah tells us.
God is a faithful Father and friend. Today, remember his goodness to you. Make a list of the things he has proven himself as faithful. Didn’t he show up every time you needed him? Didn’t he do beyond what you ever thought? Isn’t he a good, good Father? He is the best friend you have always desired. You can talk everything over with him and he always desires the best for his people. Now how good is that?
Let’s Pray:
Father, thank you for being faithful as both a good Father and friend. You have shown yourself in so many ways as faithful. When we cried out for our children, you told us to refrain our eyes from weeping, our children would return from the land of the enemy. (Jeremiah 31:16) They would come back to their borders. When we anxiously sought you for direction, our next steps, you showed us gifts and talents we didn’t even know we had. Telling us not to be anxious about anything, but with prayer and supplication with thanksgiving make our requests known. (Philippians 4:6)
Father, when we cried because of pain, you held on tight and sent people to dry up our tears. You turned our mourning into dancing, bestowed a crown of beauty instead of ashes. An oil of gladness instead of mourning and a garment of praise for a spirit of despair. (Isaiah 61)
Praise your Holy name. Amen.
