Precious Father, may our American citizens recognize the greatest patriot is the one who recognizes Jesus as Lord. Please convert our country’s stale patriotism into a passion for holiness under Your Banner. Please save the souls of millions of American citizens. God bless our country as she then blesses and honors Your Name. Restore godly principles to our judicial system. Refresh our memory of the spiritual foundation upon which our country was founded. Restore a spirit of humility that comes by realizing we moved away from You, not the other way around. Make righteousness look good to a fallen nation. Restore pride in righteousness, not ungodliness. Restore honor and integrity to all elements of our nation. Give us leaders who pledge allegiance to You. May those leaders work to remove all legislation that’s contradictory to our nation’s Constitution. Restore our reputation for integrity among the nations. Protect those who serve to protect us. Protect our borders from those who intend to harm us.
But, Dear LORD, before You grant these requests from my humble heart, would You please restore Your Church? Begin in my heart. I need to be revived, restored, made alive again in You. I ask Your forgiveness for my sin; my staleness, my fatigue. Give me new life. Make me to be seen as a true lover of Your Holiness and Righteousness. May Your Son be my passion over all else, and may I see and love Your Church with Your gaze. But then, renew love for neighbor, and love for the brethren to Your Church. Release Your Holy Spirit upon the Church to bring brokenness through conviction and resulting in repentance. Then, cause her to arise with new life and love, drawing new souls into Your Kingdom. All to Your glory! In Jesus’ Holy name I Pray On! Amen!
