Jonathan Cahn to Give Prophetic Word to America at ‘The Return: National and Global Day of Prayer and Repentance’
A Message of Prophetic Import to Be Heard on the National Mall
NEW YORK — On Saturday, September 26, New York Times bestselling author and co-leader of “The Return: National and Global Day of Prayer and Repentance,” Jonathan Cahn will deliver a prophetic word to America at “The Return,” the national gathering at the Washington Mall.
“The Return” is a sacred assembly according to 2 Chronicles 7:14 and Joel 2. The giving of the word plays a central part. Beyond that, we are living in prophetic times. America has been racing away from God. The nation has been shaken and stands at a most critical and dangerous moment. As these are critical times, Cahn believes it will be a critical word.
“Our nation has increasingly deafened its ears to the voice of God,” said Cahn. “I believe that in the shakings that have come upon the nation, God is shouting and warning and calling us back. That is the purpose of The Return and of the word that will be given.”
Cahn came to prominence and caused a national stir with the release of his first bestselling book The Harbinger. The Harbinger revealed the biblical signs of judgment that appeared in the last days of ancient Israel and that have appeared on American soil. Since then, Cahn has been calling for national repentance as the only answer. In his newest book, The Harbinger II: The Return, Cahn shares how the biblical template of judgment hasn’t stopped but has continued and advanced. Cahn also explains how the shakings that have rocked the nation in 2020 are part of that progression and signs that America stands at a dangerous moment.
“I had a strong sense that 2020 would be a critical year of shaking and that I had to write and get the word out,” said Cahn. “For that same reason I knew that The Return would be crucial.”
Cahn has spoken at the United Nations, before leaders of Congress at the U.S. Capitol building, and at the Presidential Inaugural Prayer Breakfast in 2013 and 2017. His messages have touched on issues that many avoid addressing. He is known for holding nothing back.
“The Return” is set as a National Day and Global Day of Prayer and Repentance on Saturday, September 26. It will center on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. in between the Washington Monument and Capitol Hill.
