STPC Leaders and Members to Assemble on the National Mall in Washington DC to Repent and Pray for Our Nation
WASHINGTON—On Friday and Saturday, September 25 & 26, “The Return: National and Global Day of Prayer and Repentance” will bring many participants from all over the country—leaders and believers in God—to the National Mall in Washington D.C. for a Sacred Solemn Assembly.
“The Return,” while not directly affiliated with Save the Persecuted Christians (STPC), is the fruit of the vision and leadership of STPC’s Board Chairman, Kevin Jessip. Events begin Friday night, Sept. 25 at 6 pm ET and on Saturday, Sept. 26 at 9 am ET with speakers, worship, prayer and intercession to acknowledge our sins and ask God for His mercy and forgiveness.
Save the Persecuted Christians will lead in prayer Saturday between 2-3 pm ET for nations worldwide. STPC leaders and members at “The Return” include CEO and president Frank Gaffney, Board member, Dr. Bob Fu, executive director Dede Laugesen, communications director, Lydia Blaha, and coalition partner, Dr. Oluwasayo Ajiboye, president of Mission Africa International.

Save the Persecuted Christians is working to raise awareness about the plight of over 300 million Christians facing brutal and extreme violence and injustice in countries around the world. The organization — an informal, national coalition — began in February 2018 and reorganized as a formal charitable organization in December 2018.
The mission of Save the Persecuted Christians is to save lives and save souls by disseminating actionable information about the magnitude of the persecution taking place globally and by mobilizing concerned Americans for the purpose of disincentivizing further attacks on those who follow Jesus.
With so much of the world’s Christian population being imprisoned and/or harassed for their beliefs, such as Christians in the Middle East, Nigeria, China, Pakistan and India, the need has never been greater for the sort of grassroots campaign STPC’s SaveUs Movement is working to foster. Its efforts are modeled after a miraculously successful one that helped free another population suffering from heavy persecution—Soviet Jews—by penalizing those in the Kremlin responsible for such repression. Through this movement, Save the Persecuted Christians endeavors to provide American policymakers with the popular support they need to effect real change worldwide and alleviate systemically the suffering being experienced by so many of those following Christ.
