Gov. Lujan Grisham: ‘We are at extreme risk of uncontrollable spread’
3 deaths 387 new cases of COVID
COVID has become part of the life of this world we live in and will be with us for longer than I first thought. I pray everyday about this. I am sad that this has become a political issue, where it is a health issue that has caused many to die in the world. We should never dismiss the deaths as it ‘just happens.’ I get sick when I hear that. We are going to have to learn to live with COVID and not let it destroy us. Every life matters to God, every life should matter to us. We have become a very selfish people. Our society is numb to death. God hears you when you say, “they would die anyway.” In so many ways we devalue the life God has brought to this world with all sorts of evil works like murder, abortion, we allowing the killing of God’s babies, drug overdoses, booze deaths……..
You have to remember that I was born in a time that cars pulled over for funeral processions to pass, people would even get out of their car to show respect for the loved one. Here in Albuquerque when I officiate funerals and we have to take the interstate to the cemetery, cars and trucks race by and fly by like a ‘bat out of hell’.
Every life matters to God. One of ours friends got very, very sick with COVID, it can be very horrible. Our friend recovered.
Many in our society are putting politics before God and His Word and ways.
In the meantime I will mourn for all those that pass, I will continue learn how to live with COVID, I will continue to preach and minister to all, I am preaching every week at FBC in Reserve this month, last month I preached in Reserve, FBC in Glenwood and at Cross Christian Fellowship in Albuquerque, I enjoy life, I run with Daisy and Sharon in the park, I love to talk with people in the park and stores, I will treat Sharon to a night out at a restaurant when we can, we have gone out twice now to eat in the last month and have enjoyed it so very much and it is wonderful to support our local restaurants.
As my friend Dave Fjeld wrote……”In the world of COVID-19, it’s the little things I think about and appreciate.”
KRQE NEWS REPORTS: According to a survey conducted by the National Restaurant Association, at least 100,000 restaurants have already closed throughout the country. About 40% of owners surveyed believe they’ll be out of business in the next six months, without more government support. More Here
New Mexico Governor Lujan Grisham will hold a COVID Update today as cases increase in the state. New Mexico reports large increase in COVID-19 cases
We cannot afford another shutdown or a roll back, that to me, is not the answer. I am in deep prayer. Seek God, He will show you what to do. I know that sounds to simple to this world we live in, which is so very sad. America has to learn to work together, its called unity and peace. Many are looking for a peacemaker, He is here, His name is JESUS!
One of my favorite verses….And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. Ephesians 6:18
I love this from Billy Graham.. may your heart be softened even more…….
The human heart beats about 100,000 strokes every 24 hours. It contracts about 4,000 times an hour. Our entire blood supply circulates through our hearts every four minutes. No wonder doctors urge us to take care of our hearts!
As amazing as it is, when Scripture talks about the heart, it’s not talking about that life- sustaining muscle. It’s talking about our entire inner being. The heart is the seat of our emotions, the seat of decisive action, and the seat of belief (as well as doubt). The heart symbolizes the center of our moral, spiritual, and intellectual life. It is the seat of our conscience and life. And God knows our hearts well. The Almighty God searches our hearts, weighs our hearts by the teaching of Scripture, opens our hearts to His truth, and gives us new hearts when we come to Christ, sensitive to His presence, His leading, and His love.
When we say, “My heart is breaking,” it doesn’t mean that the muscle (heart) is coming apart; we understand it as the very center of life. The muscle simply shows that it is alive or dead.
Salvation in Christ heals the very heart of man’s disease and that is sin. Search the Scriptures and learn about the Savior. His Word has a purifying effect upon the heart, mind, and soul of man. God reveals Himself to those who seek Him.
Don’t ever hesitate to take to your greatest concerns and thoughts to God. He already knows what is “on your heart,” but He wants you to come to Him with your burdens because He will carry those burdens for you. “Cast your burden on the Lord, and He shall sustain you” (Psalm 55:22).
