We have an enemy above all enemies. His name is Satan; the Bible and I call him the evil one; all lower case as he is the lowest case known. He is the great deceiver, but I call him, liar. He influences man because in our natural, we are easily influenced to be evil because we rather enjoy being evil when we think it is our idea. The evil one is really causing quite a scene in our world today, and he is even in God’s house stirring things up.
Satan is suppressing or stealing hope. He is working to depress man into thinking that there is no longer any hope for America, that there is no longer any room in the scheme of things for a revival or spiritual awakening. He is doing a pretty good job at that, by the way, many are depressed and giving up and giving in to his hissing lies.
Yeah, things are scary tough right now, but it is not tougher than the period of World War 1. Over 100 countries were swallowed up in war in which 37 million died. What of World War 2; over 70 million people departed this life. Remember the Cold War which followed not long after? We who were alive lived under the frightening intimidation of nuclear total destruction. As a matter of fact, from the very beginning; since the fall of man in the Garden, man has had to fight evil in every generation.
I have hope. My hope is in Jesus Christ and His righteous mercy and grace. Our God is not limited in any way, including time. Our Sovereign Eternal God, the God over all creation, including time itself, has time to call for and send in one more wide=sweeping outpouring of His Spirit to the reviving of His church and to the saving of millions of souls, for He has said:
“If My people, which are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14)
Let us humble ourselves in repentance and pray, for that reason, and not lose heart or hope. It is very hopeful that we might see righteousness brought back to America!
Come on, Church, Pray On!
