Staying In Peace, When The World Is Turned Upside Down…
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. Yesterday the worship leader at church sang this song, Peace. The tears ran down my face as I thought about all the anxieties going on all around me. From folks carrying diagnosis of cancer, COVID-19, parents with children on drugs, prayers for people going through tough financial situations, the battle of the election, my emotions overtook me, and I began to weep. It didn’t take long though before I wiped my tear and began to listen to the message, knowing that Jesus has the answer for every person and every situation. He has never failed us yet. Amen? Amen.
Today, let’s determine we will walk in peace everyday no matter what comes our way. Let’s Pray:
Father, thank you for peace today. No matter what is going on in the world around us, we can have peace through Jesus. You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. (Isaiah 26:3)
Father, your Word tells us in John 14:27 peace I leave with you; my peace i give you. I do not give to you as the the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
Father, Jesus tells us in John 16:33, I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.
Father, thank you for the peace that transcends all understanding. Amen.
