Hebrews 12:2
Keeping our eyes fixed on Christ, in the middle of hard times can be very difficult. When life seems to be peaceful, secure and going our way, we are able to stay focused on God.
But the moment it turns from peaceful to stressful, it’s difficult to stay sane some times.
How can we keep your eyes on Jesus through these hard times?
First thing we should do is to focus all of our attention on God.
He should become the center of our attention.
It’s like when you have a best friend. You want to know them well. You want to talk to them daily, know all about them and see them as often as you can, right?
Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the LORD.
Psalm 31:24
“So commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these words of mine. Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders.”
Deuteronomy 11:18
Your relationship with Christ is the most important part of your life, the most important thing. In Him, there is everything you will ever need to help you through hard seasons in life. Which we all encounter from time-to-time.
Taking our eyes off of Jesus is the most dangerous thing we could ever do because it’s like taking our eyes off the road. Even for on second, it could be fatal.
The disciples in the boat took there eyes off of Jesus and the began to panic.
•We need to seek his face.
•We need to look to him for every need.
•We need to trust him to move in our lives.
Keep your eyes fixed on him. Gazing into his eyes and heart constantly.
The way to start is, through prayer, Bible study and fellowship.
Taking every need, hardship and pain to the King.
My prayer for you today is that you’d keep your eyes on God, only!
