If The Shoe Fits, Wear It!
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. Last evening, we had our prayer/Bible study/chat group by good ole Zoom. I laugh this morning at our meeting. Our group is so diverse. We all look so different, act different and think different. Some from the US and some from Canada. Parlez vous francais?
We chatted about how we are going to reach the world for Jesus. I have so many ideas swirling around in my head, but until Covid-19 passes, those thoughts gotta keep swirling. We laugh at ourselves because we all share the same passion.
One young lady, probably the most educated of us all, began to weep, as she shared her story of a person she spoke with recently. Someone far from her circle of friends, but someone that needed to know that there was someone in this world that cared. God chose her.
This morning, I am asking God once again to help me think outside the box. What can we do to increase the community spread of Jesus Christ. If the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ spread as fast as the coronavirus, our world would be changed, forever. We wouldn’t need to pray about an awakening, it would be here. Oops, sorry, don’t mean to step on anyones toes. Talking about toes, we had a good laugh last night at remembering one Sunday the Pastor asked me to share about the Healing Waters Women’s conference, we held by Zoom at this storefront church in the small town of Van Buren, Maine. I was a bit tired that Sunday morning and put myself together quite quickly. I walked to the front trying to walk straight with two different shoes on, to share the good news. Sometimes, you just gotta laugh and that we do.
We always begin and end our meetings with prayer. That’s because we need it. We were probably the neediest of God’s grace and mercy on our lives than most. Our prayer is that he will trust us with much. How about you? When’s the last time you shared the good news? Are you ready for an awakening?
Let’s Pray:
Father, thank you for another day to serve you. May we take every opportunity today to spread the good news both in word and action to a world in need of an awakening. Forgive us Father, for when we walked on by someone that didn’t know you. We missed an important step.
Father, thank you for creative ways to show the love of Christ even during a pandemic. You are still in control and we keep our eyes looking to you. Amen.
Have a blessed day God’s beautiful people. Spread the good news today. Jesus loves you!
