Thank you Sister Connie Keyohara!!! Thank you for such a wonderful, loving message! Your heart for people to know God is such a testimony to us all! Thank you for showing us the love of JESUS!
Surrender your heart to God,
turn to him in prayer, and give up your sins—even those you do in secret. Then you won’t be ashamed; you will be confident
and fearless. Your troubles will go away like water beneath a bridge,
and your darkest night will be brighter than noon. You will rest safe and secure, filled with hope
and emptied of worry. You will sleep without fear and be greatly respected.
Job 11:13-19
Let’s unpack this scripture!
To surrender is to yield, give up, submit, abandon or relinquish. Surrender is absolutely necessary if you’re to have a sincere relationship with God.
On that day when, according to my gospel, God judges the secrets of men by Christ Jesus.
Romans 2:16
We all sin and have fallen short, but it’s still necessary we give it to God and confess it, even the hidden sins we are trying to keep people from finding out.
“I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak”
Matthew 12:36
So, doing the right thing isn’t just an occasional way of life, it’s a permanent way of life for believers. This is what makes Christianity such a difficult path to follow for some.
You can’t just pick and choose when you’ll follow the commandments, you’ve have to do the right thing every time, regardless of your circumstances.
Jesus is asking us to trust him and surrender fully to him.
Once you’ve done this you’ll walk in his power and blessings!
Give it to God and let it go.
If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them.
James 4:17
My prayer for you today is that you’d surrender to God.
Many Blessings,
