Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that what has happened to me has actually served to advance the Gospel.
Philippians 1:12
Sally was a vibrant Young Life leader who enjoyed building relationships with high school kids so she could tell them about Jesus. One snowy night, she broke her neck in a car accident while traveling to a Young Life club. Doctors told her that she did not have much of a chance of surviving. But Sally persevered, striving earnestly to get better in order to keep ministering to the many young people who were flocking to her hospital room. She ended up reaching even more staff and aides in that hospital. And Sally is an illustration of Philippians 1:12; just like Paul, she can say, “What has happened to me has actually served to advance the Gospel.” And the same can be said of your limitations. Today, they are your chance to advance the glorious Gospel.
