I am so very blessed by dear friends all around the world! One of those is Dwayne Hickman of LaPorte, Indiana. I have known the Hickman family since the early 80’s. Dwayne’s Mom, Lovella passed away recently and he is all alone in his Mom and Dad’s house. His Dad, Charlie passed away several years ago and Dwayne had been taking care of his Mom. I told Dwayne it must be pretty lonely now……..he said, “Yes it is very lonely, but GOD is here.” Then he sent me a text he had received from a Pastor friend in Arkansas:
Psalm 70:4, “let all those who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; and let all those who love your salvation say continually, let God be magnified.” God wants us to express our joy in him by telling it to others. We are to share the good news and how we feel about God to others. There was a demon possessed man whom Jesus healed and he as a result wanted to become a traveling companion with Jesus. But Jesus said to him to go home to his friends and tell them how great things he had done for him. Dear Lord, help Dwayne and myself to tell others about you and lift you up by sharing how we feel about all you have done for us. Give us the courage to do so, in Jesus name, Amen
