Here is an email I got yesterday from my Dear Freind John Racek from Dallas:

Hey coach,
How are you guys doing?  I saw that there was a lot of snow in the Albuquerque area.  Texas had a rough time last week.  Temperatures dropped to negative degrees.  We had rolling black outs (an hour on and an hour off) from Sunday night to Wednesday afternoon.  Thank goodness that was the extent of our issues.  I have had friends that had total power loss for several days.  One of my employees is still without water.  Others have to boil theirs since main water lines froze and burst.  There was a 133 car pile up in Fort Worth that resulted in at least six deaths and dozens injured.  We couldn’t leave the house for days because of the road conditions.  We were alright on provisions.  I had stocked up on MRE’s (meals ready to eat) when Covid started last year just in case we got desperate and had plenty of bottled water.  How have you been?  I look forward to hearing back from you.  I hope this message finds you and the family well.  Please stay safe, stay helthy, and stay informed.
Kindest regards,
John

I asked Pastor Leonard Navarre of Lubbock, Texas to lead us in prayer for our Dear Friends in Texas……

Almighty God we come before you in the name of Jesus.  We lift up our prayers for all those suffering in Texas.  We pray for your mighty hand to quickly solve the water and electrical problems.  You are the great and powerful one who has done many miracles.  So we come before you to performs miracles to comfort our citizens in Texas because also to provide water as you did to the children of Israel in the wilderness.  We also pray to you to powerfully resolve the electrical issues to provide heat for them.  We pray all this in the name that is above every name – Jesus – our our Jesus Christ.  Amen
