The Cross
Jesus died on the cross for our sins so that we would be forgiven. When we by faith receive the sacrifice He offered we can have eternal life. The cross is where our sin and debt to God is canceled.
John 15:13 Greater love has no one than this, that he laid down his life for his friends.
2 Corinthians 5:21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
Philippians 2:8 And being found in appearance as a man he humbled himself and became obedient to death.
Colossians 1:20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things whether things on earth or things in heaven by making peace through his blood shed on the cross.
Colossians 2:14 Having canceled the written code with its regulations that was against us and that stood opposed to us. He took it away nailing it to the cross.
1Peter 3:18 For Christ died for sins once for all the righteous for the unrighteous to bring you to God.
1 Peter 2:24 He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree so that we might die to sins and love for righteousness , by his wounds you have been healed.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life, For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world but to save the world through him.
God is love
Humble was he, shed his blood
For you and me
Though accused, silent was He
Laid down His life
For you and me
God is love
Eternal life he gave, when received
We are saved
Open your hearts, and receive
He is our Savior, Just believe.
