Say their names. They mattered.
A man with a rifle walked into a grocery store intent on killing innocent people.
I want you to put yourself in this situation. You get off work and stop by the grocery store to grab a few things. All of a sudden some dude with a rifle comes in and looks around, choosing who he wants to kill. It happened yesterday afternoon, and it could happen today, to you, to me or to our loved ones.
Some of you think it’s okay to defund our police force. The Denver Post had a picture of a police officer using his own body to shield two people as he got them to safety. He used his own body to protect them, and he would do it for you. Our police officers are so brave. They do this every day. Do you still think it’s okay to defund the ones that put their lives on the line for us?
Oh, and by the way, for those of you never in this situation in America or in a foreign country…our military in war zones deal with this constantly.
Let’s support our brave protectors. Let’s pay them well and help them. When you hear sirens, pray for our responders. Encourage them and thank them for doing the hard stuff and for their bravery.
