A cowboy is like a shepherd.
Cowboys have these characteristics:
C… courage: Deuteronomy 31:6
H… humble: James 4:10 humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord and he will lift you up
R… righteousness: Titus 2:11-12
I… integrity: Proverbs 20:7 a righteous man has integrity and steadfastness: 1 Corinthians 15:58 be steadfast immoveable
T… truthful Ephesians 4:25 for we are members of one another
Luke 15:4 “If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them gets lost, what will he do? Won’t he leave the ninety-nine others in the wilderness and go to search for the one that is lost until he finds it?”
God invites you to come back. He seeks you like the good shepherd.
You never forget when the Holy Spirit breathes on you. It’s the beginning of learning how to trust Him.
Tim would run a new horse in circles. Breaking him in. Teaching the horse to trust him. Then the horse would follow him anywhere.
Do you trust God? If you trust him, follow him.
You’ve got to learn to trust the one you are following. Learn to trust the Lord Jesus!
