In a Palm Sunday sermon titled “Chosen for Him,” California pastor and author John MacArthur warned that America is already experiencing the judgment of God, in part for its sexual sins. Like the Old Testament Israelites and the Jews of Jesus’ day, he said, “It is too late. Judgment is already in motion.” Only for a “remnant,” or “the elect,” is that not the case, MacArthur added.

Galatians 5:19-25

Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. …

“You are a king, then!” said Pilate. Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. In fact, the reason I was born and came into the world is to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.” John 18:37

We will preach and share JESUS with all until the Lord returns! Amen!

If Jesus was to return today, I am sure he would throw tables all over the place in the Roundhouse……picture that if you will…..

The Cloud of POT SMOKE and POT HEAD DRIVERS has begun to move into New Mexico……what a way to diversify the economy…..instead they destroy the future of our children..

Very tragic day in New Mexico History, very, very tragic legislative session, worst I’ve seen in my life. Horrific pro-abortion bill, assisted suicide bill, home delivery of booze…Is this is the New Mexico you want? If it is not, stop voting for people that vote to kill God’s babies and have no family values. Hard for me to wrap my head around that the majority of New Mexicans want this?……..Can’t be can it?

“After usurping the traditional legislative process, the Governor ultimately got exactly what she wanted and demonstrated the power she now yields over the Legislature,” added Senator Greg Baca

Cannabis Legislation Passes Legislature despite Bipartisan Opposition

Senate Republicans Respond

SANTA FE – Despite bipartisan opposition in the Senate and House of Representatives, legislation to legalize cannabis in New Mexico cleared the Legislature Wednesday evening. Senate Republicans and Democrats raised serious concerns about the 179-page cannabis bill crafted behind closed doors with the Governor. Nevertheless, House Bill 2 ultimately prevailed on a 22-15 vote with all Republicans voting against the measure.

“Prior to the vote this evening, a majority of Democrats and Republicans agreed on one thing – that House Bill 2 is deeply flawed and will lead to some serious and dangerous consequences,” said Senator Cliff Pirtle (District 32-Chaves, Eddy, and Otero). “Despite these problems, the bill passed with assurances that we will fix the bill later. This is a horrible way to govern and I fear we may come to regret this decision sooner rather than later.”

“After usurping the traditional legislative process, the Governor ultimately got exactly what she wanted and demonstrated the power she now yields over the Legislature,” added Senator Greg Baca (District 29-Bernalillo and Valencia). “Tonight, Republicans and Democrats raised legitimate concerns about the societal impacts this bill will have on New Mexico. Those concerns were ultimately ignored and the supporters now own the outcome of this rushed and irresponsible legislation.”

GOV. LUJAN GRISHAM’S RECREATIONAL MARIJUANA PIPE DREAM PASSES IN NEW MEXICO SENATE

Albuquerque, March 31—This evening the New Mexico Senate followed the House, approving legislation to legalize recreational marijuana, as both Democrat-led legislative chambers bulldozed the public during a Special Session that was unnecessary.

During this Holy Week, the Democrat-led legislature held a Special Session on marijuana at the public’s expense. This comes because lawmakers failed to pass such legislation earlier during the regular 60-day session.

The bill calls for sales to begin in the spring of 2022—so what was the rush?

This session was simply about fulfilling the Governor’s personal agenda.

The following is a statement from Republican Party of New Mexico Chairman Steve Pearce:

“This marijuana session was a travesty. As expected, progressive Democrats catered to the Governor’s wishes to make sure this legislation was passed. There was no need for lawmakers to return to the Roundhouse for this bill. With New Mexico’s collapsed economy, high unemployment and weak education system, it’s sad that marijuana takes priority in a Special Session. Legalizing pot is not an important issue with the state facing so many serious problems. In addition, recreational marijuana would lead to even more crime, underage use and impaired driving. The Governor has a pipe dream of saving the state’s finances by raking in millions from marijuana revenues, but it’s unclear just how much money will end up in state coffers.”

Q: There are many who identify as Christians but what defines a Christian? — T.C.

A: Those who have truly committed their lives to Jesus understand fully what Christ has done for them. They accept His work of redeeming them and submit to Him in complete trust. The word “Christian” actually means “a partisan for Christ.” In our political culture the word “partisan” is a word that is understandable. It means to take sides. It means we are committed to something or someone. Partisans are not neutral. So this is a wonderful way to describe who and what a Christian is — they are on God’s side!

There are people who have a wrong idea about what makes up a Christian. Some say, “A Christian is a person who prays,” or, “A Christian lives by the Golden Rule.” But praying or living by the Golden Rule, or being sincere, doesn’t make a Christian.

Belonging to Christ is serious business! It means to obey the Gospel and accept Christ as personal Savior. It means to deny worldly pleasures and seek to please God in all things. It means to follow Jesus faithfully and joyfully. When Christians falter — and we do — we confess our sin to the Lord and ask Him to forgive us and strengthen us.

The Christian life is to be lived on the highest plane by the power of Christ and he or she must continually be growing and moving forward. We should grow closer to God day by day as we strive to live as a shining light in a godless society and stand up for that which is right, just, and honorable. “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17).
