Memorial Day: We Remember Men and Women of Sacrifice

Memorial Day was set aside to remember, to reflect on what brave people sacrificed to insure the freedoms we have enjoyed these many years since the birthing of this grand nation we call home, and folks from other parts of the world desire to be a part of.  Many of our older citizenship still remember and appreciate all the final sacrifices made on our behalf and future’s security.

However, there is a movement to erase, or at least lesson the importance of the American Spirit and the American Dream as it once was.   Soon, future generations will simply not remember that the original American Dream was birthed through the fighting, sacrificing, even through death, all fueled by the American Spirit on the American men and women who believed in a land “Under GOD.”   GOD gave the dream and the spirit to the American people who pursued His cause.   Many wonderful, heroic people gave their all in many conflicts throughout the world, even at home, so that we could be free “Under GOD.”   Those two words are our Dream and Spirit.   We must regain those words and His favor and power.

We are forever grateful for the many who sacrificed to allow Americans to be all that it means to be an American.  “We the People” have truly been blessed beyond measure.  Our deepest gratitude is extended to all the men and women who preserved our foundation on God through the surrendering of life so precious.  “Thank you” is never enough.   “We the People” must be willing to carry the torch of sacrifice into the future.

The American Dream is in danger of extinction.   Some want to change all that has held us together; our Constitution, yes, but more importantly the morals and standards of God’s Holy Word, the Bible.  Socialism is at the front door, while Communism is heavy breathing at the backdoor.   As a society, we are further removed from God’s graces and mercies than we have been in history.  No politician of any political party in any station of government has the power or wisdom to reroute our current path without the help of Almighty God.  We need His rescue!  We must have His Mercy!

What America needs today; right now, is for the Church of God; those who claim the name of the only Son of God, Jesus Christ, to willingly become people of sacrifice to secure the forgiveness and rescuing power of God.

“If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”  (2 Chronicles 7:14)

This verse does not say if all of American citizens, it clearly says that the responsibility falls squarely of God’s people who claim, call on, and respond to, His holy name, will humble themselves, and pray, seeking His face for the forgiveness of sin while repenting of the same; then He will hear our pleas and forgive sins while healing the land.

There it is Church; America needs, and God awaits, the Church to become right with Him and be the clean channel for God’s forgiving revival and Spiritual Awakening that will bring salvation and healing in the land.

Church, it is only right and fitting that the Church of the LORD Jesus Christ would once again take up Her Cross, dying to self, while becoming living sacrifices for all, to restore our being “one nation Under God” once again!   Let us remember, honor, and restore all who have gone before in the ultimate sacrifices.  We must be sacrifices for God, and our world!  Pray On!
