“Even so, Come . . .”

Father of all mercy and grace, having all power and wisdom with great love and compassion toward man, I stand in all of all that You are, and all that remains a mystery, that You my God for the giving of Your dear Son, Christ Jesus, as Savior of the world.  I am more than blessed to be a child of the Most High God by my faith and trust in Jesus.

Dearest LORD Jesus, I sense something of Your Coming . . . Could that be . . . a Coming in Revival of Your Church coupled with a wide, broad moving Spiritual Awakening?

LORD, I remember that You placed a seed of desire for these happenings deep within my heart, somewhere within the year of ’92.   Since then, I have been studying revival movements in church history, which resulted in my understanding of the importance of genuine, repentant prayer as a catalyst.   I have been praying for, and encouraging multitudes of believers to seek, revival.   I long to be right in the center of a great movement of Your Spirit in such a way; the church in America needs a new birth, an awakening.    But then, to witness the Spirit convicting millions and millions unto salvation; that would be a humbling reward of heart.   Could this be what I sense in Your Coming, or . . .

. . . Could that be for the Rapture of Your Body, the Church?

“But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen [b]asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who [c]sleep in Jesus.

15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are [d]asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore, comfort one another with these words.”                               (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)

A coming in the clouds . . . I have long had a fascination with clouds; so many questions about clouds.   I have studied clouds from both sides now, simply as an amazed observer.  Wow!  Your creation takes my breath away.  And as I stand gazing upward, I strain to imagine Your Coming with the clouds.   What joy of expectancy springs into my heart?!

The Rapture of the Church, Your Church, has long been a teaching that has captured my attention and desire.  Would it be possible . . . could it be possible . . . that I, such as I am, might be called away in this magnificent manner?!

LORD, may Your Holy Spirit cause us to be ready for either occurrence, as we pray, “Even so, come, LORD Jesus, Amen!”
