Below we have a text message I got Saturday from Pastor Richard and Cindy Mansfield, pictured at the very top, of New Beginnings Church in Albuquerque. Pastor Richard has been a huge help to us!!! He helped me get started in establishing a funeral ministry. Doing funerals for those that do not have a Church or Pastor. That has been a precious ministry to be with people during the loss of a loved one. It also has taught me a lot about the power of God. Just think, people that may not beleive in God, still want a preacher to say some last words over their loved one. Think about that. Sharon and I are thankful for the leadership Pastor Richard and Cindy provide the people of New Mexico!
Congratulations to Pastor Dewey and Sharon Moede for 9 years of faithfully serving the Lord by providing such good reporting and preaching through FGGAM. I pray God’s continual blessings, guidance and anointing as you enter your 10th year of providing all of us such great and accurate information to better equip God’s church. God’s riches blessings over you always! 🎶🎈✝️❤️🙏🏼
We love you – Richard & Cindy Mansfield New Beginnings Church
Dr. Jim Dension posted this today:
“Something very deep and mysterious”
Henri Nouwen observed, “Something very deep and mysterious, very holy and sacred, is taking place in our lives right where we are, and the more attentive we become, the more we will begin to see and hear it. The more our spiritual sensitivities come to the surface of our daily lives, the more we will discover—uncover—a new presence in our lives.”
In Matthew 11, Jesus invited us to “take my yoke upon you and learn of me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls” (v. 29). This metaphor illustrates at least seven life principles:
- We are to live and work under Jesus’ direct leadership.
- Jesus intends our lives to serve him.
- We are to serve him above all others.
- We are to serve with others (oxen were often yoked with other oxen).
- We are to work in the field of his choosing, not ours.
- Our work accomplishes a larger purpose than we as “oxen” can know.
- Our work is not completed until he says it is.
Would Jesus say you are wearing his yoke today?
If not, why not?
