Have you noticed that the school boards that are fighting back against the state are in rural New Mexico? Why? It is because they still believe in the rights of the individual. The ways of Albuquerque and Santa Fe must not rule the state. The Albuquerque school system has been wrought with corruption for years, (Most recent is the Stapleton Scandal) We now know that a handful of teachers, including an assistant superintendent, is among the group of Albuquerque Public School workers who are on administrative leave while the school investigates a major corruption scandal. APS is a money pit, now they have failed to provide air conditioning to many of the classrooms, see below. APS is also attempting to install air-purifiers in classrooms. I have said for years it has become a kingdom of its own and needs to be split in to two or three school districts. “The Governor and the Secretary of the Public Education Department have proven themselves to be no better than schoolyard bullies. The time comes when the bullying must stop, and that time is now. We cannot sit idly by while our school districts are picked on and forced to do things that do not represent the best interests of the children they serve and the parents who elected them. I urge the School Board to take action this evening and send a clear message to the Governor that we will not be shoved around in Roswell. We are the people. We are the parents. And we know what is best for our children.”

It’s all a heart issue folks, not a money issue, or a political issue. If it was we would have solved all our problems years and years ago. It’s having a heart for JESUS and HIS PEOPLE!
The Church must not stand still!!!! The Church is meant to be the hospital for all! All this government involvement in our lives and spending money America does not have concerns me very much! We the people of God must get active and help those in need. We must surround families with the love of Jesus, have food banks, shelter, etc. We are not called to stay within our walls and have the doors locked. We are not called to build kingdoms to serve ourselves, we are to go out and carry out THE GREAT COMMISSION and increase the Kingdom of God! What you need to know about THE GREAT COMMISSION Much of the Church in America loves to preach to the choir. We need to hit the streets. I always think that we will be surprised by some of the questions that JESUS asks us when we get to heaven. I do not think he will ask about how large your church was or about the cosmetics. Jesus may ask how come you allowed abortions. Why did you kill my babies? I always have that in my mind to keep me in check on how I conduct our ministry here that God has given us. What is your Church doing on the streets for JESUS? What are you doing? Some Churches are active, some not so much. God knows all.

New Mexico keeps doing the same stupid things, whether there is a Republican or Dem as Governor we are always near or at the bottom in anything good for our children. God will hold us all accountable. We must understand this is not a political issue, nationally, both parties are so far wacked out of line it is horrible! The Dems and Republicans as a whole behave badly! How do you think our children feel about the political mess of our Country? It turns them off for sure. Here in New Mexico we are blessed by a core of solid elected leaders, but the majority of New Mexicans keep voting for anti-life politicians. So stupid! So sinful! Our children suffer so much and they are growing up in a state with babies being killed because of abortion, or being killed by violence, suffer from extreme poverty, poor school systems, legalized pot, home delivery of booze so parents can get stewed at home, horrible! Now Pot heads will be driving and killing people! And New Mexicans wonder why we are last in good things! Hard to think this is what New Mexico wants.

There is a group of people, often a minority, in almost every congregation who have personally met the living Christ and can never be the same again. The word “church” comes from a Greek word, ecclesia, which means, “to call out.” The church is composed of all those true believers from Pentecost onward who are united together in Christ. The Bible teaches that we are the Body of Christ, of which He is the Head (Ephesians 1:22-23).
Within the vast complexities, bureaucracies, organizations, and institutions of Christendom there exists the true Body of Christ. They are the ones who have their names written in the Lamb’s Book of Life (Revelation 21:27). They are scattered in all denominations, and many are in no denomination at all. This is the church against which Christ promised the gates of Hell would never prevail (Matthew 16:18).
The church needs to be called back to Biblical authority. The Protestant church today is possibly as far from the authority of the Scriptures as was the Roman church in the 16th century. We desperately need a new reformation within the Protestant church.
Only a healthy church can help a sick world. Much social action today is nothing but sheer humanism. True members of the church are those who have been transformed by the power of Christ.
The changing of people’s hearts is the primary mission of the church. To proclaim the entire Gospel of Christ is the only answer to mankind’s deepest needs.

I have stated for years that communities and School Board’s should control their schools, not the state. This is an ongoing battle in New Mexico and our nation. Let the people decide. “It is unfortunate that we are just days away from schools reopening and all that we have seen from Lujan Grisham is that her administration is on their third education secretary and now they are imposing their politics on local school districts,” said House Republican Leader Jim Townsend (Artesia). “Instead of politicizing and headline grabbing, I sure wish that the Governor and PED would have implemented a serious plan to address the learning gap and the myriad of other issues that have been exacerbated during COVID. Our school districts should not be used as pawns for Santa Fe bureaucrats, instead every elected official should be doing everything in our power for the children of New Mexico.”
NM Senators Gallegos and Schmedes Respond to Floyd School Board Suspension by PED Secretary
SANTA FE – Today, the New Mexico Public Education Department (PED) announced that outgoing Secretary Ryan Stewart has suspended the entire Floyd Municipal School Board. The news comes on the heels of the Board’s recent decision to not enforce several PED mandates, including masking for all students.
“Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham and her outgoing education secretary have just confirmed what many New Mexicans already know—the Public Education Department does not have our children’s best interest in mind,” said Senator David Gallegos (District 41-Eddy and Lea), who serves on another local school board. “The Floyd School Board did exactly what they were elected to do. They represented the best interests of the children in their district. This gross violation of local authority is disrespectful to the students and families of Floyd, and may even be a violation of New Mexico law. It is time for the court’s to finally reign in the reckless power of this administration.”
“Governor Lujan Grisham is yet again putting politics above people and demonstrating that she has no real understanding of how science works,” added Senator Gregg Schmedes (District 19- Bernalillo, Sandoval, Santa Fe and Torrance), a practicing physician. “The Floyd School Board looked at the same data from the CDC that I have seen, which clearly says COVID-19 is not a pediatric disease. Children are not likely spreaders of the disease and they are not prone to serious illness or death from infection. What is clear is that mask mandates for children distract them from learning. The Governor’s authoritarianism has now undermined a local democratic process. If we do not push back, overt power grabs like this will become the norm throughout New Mexico.”

Last night at our softball game, I was talking to one of my friends who is a food rep. He works for a food distributer here in Albuquerque. I asked him if his customers, which are owners of restaurants in the Albuquerque area, are concerned about another shutdown, he said YES. I do not know how the restaurants and the workers would survive another shutdown. The Governor fired off a warning shot yesterday. My friends at Smiths Supermarket are also concerned. I just do not think even a partial shutdown is a good idea at all. We all here in America have suffered much in so many ways during COVID, deaths, not able to attend funerals, not able to grieve the loss of a loved one in a ‘normal way’ not able to see loved ones, it has created division and anger and that will only get worse if shutdowns happen again. You should have seen us play softball last night and the fans in the stands…families together having so much fun! So much joy! I got home after the game and saw this story, it made me wonder if are upcoming games would be cancelled. What happens to our children???? School???? Our children need human contact. How do you give the COVID vaccination to someone that does not want the shot?????? I cannot even imagine Churches shutting down again! By the way, This whole mess has brought up a point that I have talked about for years! Public Schools need to be run by the local folks, the local school boards! NOT THE STATE!!!!!!!!!
