Are You Plugged In to Hear God? By Karen Rowe

• A Side Note from the Devotion Today!  It is about why it is so important for us to ask God.  To Listen for His Voice!

I felt inspired to share this awesome revelation with you!  We would love for you to comment with any Scripture the Voice of the Lord brings to your mind as you read this.  And To God be the Glory.  We truly hope this is a help to you and an encouragement to ask God questions as you talk with Him.  And purpose to hear God’s Voice!

Earlier, this afternoon, as I moved the leaf-blower from one location to the next, I plugged the extension cord in the receptacle, but nothing happened.  Of course, you would know about it as soon as I did to check the other connection!  The connection to the leaf-blower had pulled loose enough that it was not receiving the power.

Follow me on this!

The Bible says, we have not, because we ask not.

And, if we ask amiss … Of course you would know about it as soon as I do, to check ourselves to the Bible!  But some doubt the Word of God is Perfect for us?  I don’t!

1.  We ask God for Help:  I can think of at least 2 specific relationships that were hard enough (in my personal boundries) that I asked God to make it stop.  Why do I share this with you?  Because no matter what we ask, we 1st have to ask!  Even if we ask wrong, still for communication to happen, we have to be humble enough to ask God, and to ask, we have to believe God is God!  And, God corrected me on both accounts.  The first time, God answered me with fantastic teaching:  “You envy her.”  In my discussion with God, I asked again, how can I envy someone I don’t respect?  God replied, “You envy her ability to not be responsible, and you can’t *let go from being responsible.”   The 2nd time:  God replied to me: “No, I will not make this situation go away; you will learn to be grateful in all things!”  Immediately I changed my attitude; found supernatural JOY, actually looked forward to serving …  And, God took the situation away.  BOTH TIMES *After I got my heart right with God.
2. We receive Help freely from God:  Some people have the gift to give without being asked!  How do we identify the difference when we didn’t have to ask God for what blessed us?  It was a blessing! And signs and wonders will follow a child of God!

God has the gift to give without being asked!

God gave us the sun, the moon, the soil to grow veggies, meats, and even trees.  God gave us the trees for shade, lumber to build shelter, and fuel to burn to stay warm.  We didn’t have to ask God for the gift; Because God has the gift for giving! So do many people!

We didn’t ask God for Jesus, but For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son …

Yet, there are situations *usually dealing with people that we have, to be honest with God and ask God to help us.  And, wait to hear God’s Voice tell us our next move!

So my friends, Ask God, even if you are wrong!  That may be the point to understand.

How can you hear God correct you, if you don’t ask Him for help?

How can you receive a blessing, if you don’t know and believe in the love God has for you?

1st, we must be born again!  Our spirit needs the Blood of Jesus to be made Alive with Eternal life!  Our soul needs the Word of God to grow in our Salvation.

Salvation is not a gift we asked God to give, because God made Salvation available to us!
Salvation is a gift we ask God to help us come to and to grow in.

But like the plug on the leaf-blower, we still have to check ourselves to see if we are functioning well (in being plugged into God):  God is our source of power to overcome and live blessed ***to be a blessing in all things.  Is there Peace? How about JOY?  Prayer with God in Jesus’s Name brings Joy!!!

JOY is included in this life with God; and beyond all we can think, imagine; or even ask for.

In Closing:

In this world, the world has it reversed; and so could not asking God freely to help you, be a lie/technique of the devil to keep people perishing in a lack of knowledge???  DOUBT will stop Pursuit!  Instead, Ask God first:  Then LISTEN.

How close are you to your Peace?

Ask God to hear His Voice!

[5] Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. [6] In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

How much do we really trust God?

What is your faith level?

  What is your faith level when the weight of the pain comes?  It is our goal to encourage you in the same way the Lord encourages us!  We grow from disappointments; as you may grow stronger muscles by lifting weights.  If you give up, what have you received?  Are you going to give up on God?    If you don’t ask God for help, how can God help you?  How could God speak to you about teaching you His Way to be effective in your struggle … Unless you ask God?

Friends, When we trust God, he gives us HIS supernatural strength! HIS Supernatural energy!  HIS Supernatural inspiration!  And a HIS new spiritual Heart that we can joyfully receive God’s blessings in His wonderful teaching lessons that are for us/not against . . . And, then the test goes away.

We have to pass the test to be promoted; right?

The battle is not yours!

The battle belongs to God FOR you!

Peter did ask Jesus!  Sure he sank when he felt the waves and saw the reality of where he was out there walking on the water!  But who lifted Peter up?  Jesus is the answer!  Jesus wants to lift you up too! But you have to ask God and then wait to hear His Voice!
