I love this post! Satan is having a heyday with the American family. Satan has been ripping apart families at a record number here in ther United States of America. Many men have failed to live biblical lives. I will be sharing on this at the Soldiers of the Cross Men’s Encounter, see above. How do you treat your spouse? Does football and fancy cars, big trucks, beer, party time, fishing, hunting rule over your wife and kids? Do you go to Church as a family? Do you study the Bible as a family? I grew up with my Mom and Dad being my heroes. Their lives reflected JESUS, so did the lives of my grandparents, aunts and uncles!!!! Many children are bring raised by grandparents and aunt and uncles. So many families have been broken up. The family unit was created by God Almighty! This is not a political issue! It is a heart for JESUS issue!
1) Your kids are WATCHING what matters to you
The way you treat your spouse shows what is in your heart. If our kids see that the way mom and dad treat each other publicly is different than how they interact privately, they are going to notice. If what we say doesn’t match who we are, our kids suffer.
We are never more authentic with anyone more than those we are closest to. That means that our children see the real us. They know our greatest strengths. They also see our biggest weaknesses. And sometimes that’s okay.
