Another AWESOME message from Thriving Marriages! I have to say that I have to get enough rest as I am up between 2am and 3am most everyday to update the FGGAM WEBSITE. I go to bed around 7pm. I also try my best to make sure Sharon gets enough sleep with the long hours she works as a nurse. I can tell when I start to lose my focus, I rest. Clear my head. Maybe part of the problem we are having in this world is people are not resting in the LORD. They go on without the LORD and do it their way…??? What do you think? This post is not just about marriages…..it is about life………I need rest as sometimes, I drive 8 hours to preach, I have to be sharp. Sharon and I have such peace in our house with Daisy….We have the LORD…..we need to rest to serve our LORD as the best we can.
Maybe Washington D.C. needs to sleep for days……..LOL!
Charles Stanley: Sadly, many Christians don’t reach a point of complete reliance on the Lord. The apostle Paul reminds us to fix our eyes on the goal of maturity in Christ (Phil. 3:14). Learning to die to self is painful, but ironically, it’s the only true way to life.
