Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.”
John 3:3
As Christians, we must prepare for what is coming.
“But about that day and hour no one knows, neither the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. For as the days of Noah were, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.”
“For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day Noah entered the ark, and they knew nothing until the flood came and swept them all away, so too will be the coming of the Son of Man”
(Once the flood came, the Ark door was closed, it was too late.)
“Therefore you must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an unexpected hour.”
Matthew 24: 36-38
Jesus is coming soon. In the twinkling of an eye we will be gone.
Are you ready?
If you died tonight, do you know beyond a shadow of a doubt, that you’d go to heaven? If your answer is no, you can read the prayer at the end of this devotion.
Today is the day of salvation.
2 Corinthians 6:2
The apostle Paul really stressed in this verse the urgency of coming to Christ for salvation today. It’s dangerous to procrastinate about the decision where you’ll be spending eternity.
For eternity is to long and hell is too hot to wait on this particular decision.
We do not know when the Lord will return for his church or when he’ll call us home personally. For we are not promised tomorrow.
We must be ready today!
Have you ever regretted putting some thing off till a later time?
Maybe you ran out of time and you regretted it. By ignoring God once you’ve heard his word is very risky and will eventually be very regrettable.
“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Romans 10:13
Here’s what you must do. Admit that you are a sinner and that you need God’s help. Be willing to change your mind and turn from your sin (repent). Believe that Jesus Christ died for you, was buried, and rose from the dead.
If you’re ready now, below is a prayer you can pray. If you do that, please let me know. It’s the best decision you’ll ever make!
Lord Jesus, know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior.
If you prayed this, please share it with someone!
Many Blessings,
Connie
