A Gift For Him…
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. Yesterday, I cooked something sweet. I forgot the main ingredient, sugar. After thinking to myself, how easy the recipe is, I saw the sugar waiting to be put in. I learned a long time ago just to laugh at my mistakes and start again.
This morning, I was thinking about how easy it is to push Jesus out of Christmas. Shopping, baking, cooking, and all the other things that takes time, sometimes time with Jesus gets set aside.
This year under the Christmas tree let’s give him a gift. Let’s make a pledge to him that we will journey closer than the year before. Let’s make time for him every day. Let’s commit to read his Word, pray, worship and share our faith with others.
How about it? You in? Will you give him a gift this year?
Let’s Pray:
Father, thank you that you always have time for us. You are omnipotent, omnipresence and omniscience. We can call on your name day or night and you are always available. We say thank you God, thank you.
Father, this year may we give you a gift. A gift to walk closer than ever. Father, may we read your Word and believe your promises. We will draw closer and draw us closer too, oh God.
Father, forgive us when we chose the busyness of our day a reason to not spend time with the one that we needed the most. Everyday is a new beginning.
Father, thank you for the best gift we could ever receive, journeying life with Jesus Christ. His name is the sweetest, most powerful name in both heaven and on earth. May we give you a gift this year under our tree, more time with you. Amen.
