Everyone Is Worthy To Receive A Crown…
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. I was remembering the pageant days of my three daughters recently. The girls were told that only one would wear the crown, but they were all winners. I loved that. One year I remember all of the girls in the pageant received a small crown. Those pageant days were interesting to say the least. I have one daughter that was a little miss for our city. I have one daughter that was little miss marjorette and I have one daughter that this mother made an error that cost her points off and she didn’t make the running. Those pageant years are years to remember.
I am thankful that everyone is worthy to receive a crown. It is not a competition. God looks at the heart. It is God’s heart that none would perish, no not a one.
To the woman at the well, you are worthy. To the divorced, you are worthy. To the abused, the broken, the sick, the downcast, you are worthy. To the addicted, you are worthy. Life may have given you some hard knocks, but get back in the race, because you haven’t received your crown yet. You were born to win.
God’s Word tells us to fight the good fight of faith. Maybe today you are not a believer in Jesus Christ. Maybe you feel like you could never come before him. You feel shame, guilt condemnation and your past record is not the kind you need a player for. You can still receive a crown. Every day is a new beginning and you can have a new start.
I like to pray with people, it’s just what I love to do. It doesn’t need to be any fancy words, but words from your heart to the person that created you. I like to get people in dialogue with God Himself.
I ponder at times who will actually be in heaven. Will the good ole boys club make it? What about the pastor that wouldn’t let the man sing because he wasn’t dressed to his liking, will he be there? What about the people that don’t like the multi colored hair and all the interesting aspects of our culture today, will they slide on in? I have had to examine my heart at times, because I was wrong about some things, but I stayed in the race and will someday receive my crown.
I love Billy Graham, the greatest Evangelist ever. He closed every service with the words come as you are. I just know he meant it.
God is no respector of persons and today if you hear him knocking on the door of your heart, open the door and let him come on in and sup with you. It truly is harvest time.
Let’s Pray:
Father, thank you for your mercy and grace. Father, thank you for your son Jesus that paid the price once and for all for everyone who will believe and receive. Your blood covenant was and is enough for every human soul.
Father, may hearts open all across this globe to the truth of your Word and may we all repent this morning of any attitudes, judgements, and continue to show us any error of our ways.
Father, someday we want to hear you say, well done my good and faithful servant. We want to receive our crown. Amen.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
