“There is only one relationship that matters, and that is your personal relationship to a personal Redeemer and Lord. Let everything else go, but maintain that at all costs, and God will fulfill his purpose through your life.” Oswald Chambers

From Adrian Rogers: A Christian with a testimony is never at the mercy of an unbeliever with an argument!

Leadership requires awareness of one’s own emotions and depths; awareness of multiple forces shaping perceptions and drives; awareness of the dark and the light and the large consequences of one’s acts. From the Book “The Leadership Secrets of Billy Graham”

“If you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.” President Harry Truman

From Adrian Rogers: When the child of God loves the Word of God and sees the Son of God, He is changed by the Spirit of God into the image of God for the Glory of God because he has found the truth of God.

New Mexico you say you value families, but the results say you do not!!! What is it going to take to turn New Mexico toward GOD? Since I moved here in 1995…its always the same, failing God and family! The murdering of children through abortion and children killing children, we had that happen at a school last year, and the man that ran down a 7 year old on the roads of Albuquerque and killed him, parents killing their own children, parents beating their own children, child hunger is a huge problem, many children are on drugs, now you are adding legalized pot to the menu???????!!!! Can’t you see New Mexico??????? What your doing is not working! It is not a political issue in this state! It is a JESUS issue in New Mexico! So many need JESUS! Not more politics! I have many reports in this post that need to be read! For God’s Glory Alone Ministries – FGGAM I have a deep passion for JESUS and His children! I am pretty fed up with you New Mexico and your high school pep rally’s and preaching to the choir!! If God gave out report cars you would get an F!

As we used to say ‘in the day.’ You better have a come to JESUS meeting very soon!

In this new report by WalletHub we find New Mexico ranked 49th! New Mexico continues to be at the bottom in anything good, has been for years, so very, very dysfunctional! What is it going to take New Mexico? Now you have added legalized pot to the menu for our children.

2021 was a tough year. We’ve lost friends, family, neighbors and co-workers to the pandemic. We’ve been eye-witnesses (and sometimes participants) in online battles between vaxxers and anti-vaxxers, between those who believe in masks and those who don’t, between the political left and the political right.

We’ve seen raging fires, crime-ridden cities, violent riots, angry racism, rampant homelessness and increasing hopelessness.

From the Book “The Leadership Secrets of Billy Graham”Politicians that refer to their spending plans say most of the time, “We are going to spend X amount of dollars to improve gopher hunting.” Might as well, as so much of OUR TAX DOLLARS go down into a gopher hole! It is our money not the politicians money! I am still shaking my headed at all the fraud nationwide on COVID relief, one report has the Secret Service saying it was over 1 Billion dollars. Biden sends out a check every time someone sneezes! Now the Lujan Grisham ‘Money show’ begins. The Governor is going to hand out money like we have never seen before. OUR MONEY! Much of it will go to waste. There is such a lack in accountability in government spending and what the true results are. Shoot, if all the money spent in past years had helped New Mexico, we would not be in such tough shape. New Mexico continues to be near the bottom, or at the bottom in anything good. BUT YET! We the taxpayers suffer. Both the Dems and GOP are at fault, as the GOP had their opportunity to turn the the state around during the Martinez disaster. Now we are in worst shape with Lujan Grisham in office. We need a strong third party that is not tied to all this awful ‘political cash’ that is out there! I call it EVIL CASH, we the taxpayers, seldom, if ever know where all this money is coming from to ‘buy’ an election. I’m just an old news reporter turned Pastor who has seen so many ‘dirty politicians’ over my life. I have learned to be very careful and to seek the LORD on all these issues. The two party system in America has been broken for years, but yet, we continue to allow this dysfunction in our Country, it is a huge part of what is destroying America. The lack of Christians in America is showing as the darkness continues to grow. The answer is JESUS! JESUS! Only if the politicians in America would have a Biblical Worldview, we would be a shining star for JESUS!Here is where we are at today New Mexico………truth spoken by GOP Leader Jim Townsend, now Mr. Townsend is one of the few folks who I would vote for as Governor. He has COMMON SENSE, he is a Christian man, and I love it that he is from rural New Mexico! I am so tried of ‘Big City’ politicians. Bring back Walter Bradley and Bill Redmond please! I have travel rural New Mexico so much in the last 17 years, I have fallen in love with it! Salt of the earth folks.Jim Townsend:

What usually gets lost in the Governor joyously announcing she is handing out cash to anyone and everyone during an election year, is that this money comes from the oil and gas industry that she, her out-of-state donors, and many progressive legislators want to shut down,” said House Republican Leader Jim Townsend (Artesia). “Progressives like Lujan Grisham will parade around this year handing out New Mexicans tax dollars while forgetting to thank the people across the state who work hard every day and keep the economy going. I think we need to applaud the people of New Mexico for waking up every day, despite the bleak and despotic policies of Lujan Grisham, keeping our state moving forward and economy going. We are nearing two-years of one politician usurping all authority and not involving The People’s representative government in any meaningful way. I see and hear many Democratic colleagues and voters waking up to the reality that this administration is only after headlines and attention, not actually serving and uplifting the people of New Mexico.

This angers me! Where there is smoke there is fire, the old saying in news reporting goes. I started in news in 1978 at the Minnesota State News Network. I am beyond frustrated with New Mexico! We have to stop killing God’s babies! I put God and his babies first. God has blessed New Mexico so very much with a beautiful landscape, and so many other things. But, so many do not obey God. I get asked why we live in New Mexico many times by our out-of-state friends. It is because God has us here to be missionaries for Him. We love all people, all over God’s World. We are here to serve, God has assigned us to carry out The Great Commission, showing the light of Jesus to one person at a time. We got a note from one of our ministry supporters in the Midwest who said, “You are on the front lines for Jesus.” I continue to be shocked by the lack of influence the Church has on this state. Children are dying by abortion, murder, etc….this outfit CYFD, is evil. Death of 1-month old in Valencia County. I have said over and over since 1995, tear it down and start over! It has turned into a rats nest. I can tell you this that God is not happy at all with how HIS CHILDREN are being treated here in New Mexico! HOW CAN HE BE! HE IS GOD ALMIGHTY WHO GIVES US ALL LIFE! Then you have these thugs who drive drunk and drive those off-road vehicles like the one that struck and killed the little boy in December at the River of lights!!! ‘Trauma that will never go away’: Father of boy killed in hit-and-run speaks Why in the name of God has Albuquerque allowed these thugs to rule the roads??? There have been no changes in the dysfunction of New Mexico since we moved here in 1995, it just gets worse. I am not a politician, I am a Pastor who will preach JESUS until I die. I am not here to appease anybody, I am a servant of God Almighty, not man. Sharon and I stand for LIFE not death. Child Abuse in New Mexico Doubles. New Mexico has long had one of the worst rates of child food insecurity in the country. In 2020, 26% of New Mexico children experienced food insecurity, which is up from pre-COVID-19 levels of 22%. Due to COVID-19, food insecurity in one county was as high as 38% in 2020. Now New Mexico has brought more evil to children by legalizing pot, this mind altering drug is going to do so much harm. How Pot effects the mind and body Shame!

New Mexico is being overrun by evil. New Mexico continues to show it does not take good care of God’s children.

I ask every New Mexican, How can you allow this evil?

If God handed out report cards, New Mexico would get a big F!

UPDATE: Will the Corruption in New Mexico Government ever come to an end? After moving here in 1995 and meeting Hall-of-Fame Broadcaster Frank Haley at KOB AM where he anchored the news for years, he said to me, “Welcome to the land of corruption.” Will New Mexico ever have a GOOD GOVERNOR? Hasn’t happened since I have lived here! Something is greatly wrong here, it is spiritual. Once again I thank John Block for reporting on this story and I know he will follow it all the way. We have way to much corruption in New Mexico, Albuquerque Public Schools, Rio Aribia County, Las Vegas, NM, and on and on we go……Corruption in the Albuquerque Mayoral race by the Sheriff!!!! Why does not the County Commissioners sensor the Sheriff??????? Your hopeless New Mexico unless you end this corruption that keeps growing…I do not know where this case against Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham is going to go….but you must learn to FOLLOW THE MONEY! All these stinking messes are an awful example to our Children! How can we expect our children to respect public officials? Proverbs 11:14 Without wise leadership, a nation falls; there is safety in having many advisers. 1 Cor. 4:2: Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful. From Adrian Rogers: A Christian with a testimony is never at the mercy of an unbeliever with an argument!

I just had a chat with John Block on Facebook messenger. I thanked him or his reporting. This is such a very, very bad sign of all the continued corruption in our state. It makes me sick to my stomach!

    John Block Reports:

On Monday, Zach DeGriego, the former Chief Financial Officer of Spaceport America from December 21, 2015, to June 21, 2020, announced he had filed a civil complaint against Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham over an alleged fraud of $200 million.

    THE HILL REPORTS:

The gubernatorial election landscape in 2022 is shaping up to be competitive as Republicans look to flip a number of governors’ mansions across the country.

Republicans are feeling momentum after Virginia Gov.-elect Glenn Youngkin‘s victory in November, when he became the first Republican to win a statewide race in the blue-leaning state since 2009. The party says the political environment is prime for Republicans to oust a number of vulnerable Democratic governors this year, including Gov. Laura Kelly in Kansas and Gov. Gretchen Whitmer in Michigan.

While Grisham appears to be in a stronger position than other Democratic incumbent governors, with the Cook Political Report rating her race as “likely Democratic,” Republicans have set their sights on her seat.

The Santa Fe New Mexican Lists Rebecca Dow and Mark Ronchetti as the top choices in the field of GOP candidates. More Here

A top New Mexico Republican told me that Dow and John Block have been polling well. This was just about a week after Ronchetti made his announcement.

The GOP has a very strong group of candidates running this year. The one candidate that makes the sanctity of life her platform is Ethel Maharg. Ethel is the strongest candidate against abortion. For me, ending abortion in New Mexico is of the highest priority. The sinning in New Mexico starts with killing God’s babies. Ethel speaks of it all the time. Will New Mexico pay attention to the abortion issue?

Needless to say, things are going to get very interesting! Will the GOP convert enough Dems?

HUGE LOSS! NM State Rep. Alonzo Baldonado Resigns From House of Representatives

This sure caught me by surprise and from what I am reading I don’t think I am the only one. This is a huge loss for New Mexico. Huge loss for the GOP, as Alonzo is a true leader! I remember when Alonzo came into the KKIM Radio studio years ago with his lovely wife to announce he was going to run for office. He made an impression on me that family is so very important to him and his wife. Yes! The family unit! The family unit in New Mexico is being torn apart in so many ways. My thoughts are, it is going to get tougher to get solid people like Alonzo to run with office with such chaos in state and federal government. Thank you Alonzo for all your hard work! We will be praying for you and your family as you go forth into 2022. Amen! I was thanking God for your service Alonzo, and the thought came to me, I do not get the opportunity to write about SOLID LEADERS often enough! You have made a wonderful impact on many.

Rep. Alonzo Baldonado retiring from state legislature

Los Lunas, NM – State Representative Alonzo Baldonado (R-Los Lunas) today announced he is retiring from serving NM House District 8 in Valencia County. Rep. Baldonado has served in the New Mexico Legislature since 2011 and was the House Majority Whip from 2015 through 2017.

“Today I am retiring from serving in House District 8, in Valencia County,” said State Representative Alonzo Baldonado (R-Los Lunas). “I am proud of the work our community has done over the past decade and I hope that in a small way I was able to help with those efforts to make Los Lunas, Bosque Farms, Peralta, Rio Communities and Belen a better place to live. I look forward to seeing continued growth in our community and state.”

Rep. Baldonado is a member of the House Education Committee and House Commerce & Economic Development Committee. Representing Valencia County, Rep. Baldonado has pursued efforts to support the community through economic development and infrastructure improvement. Most recently, Rep. Baldonado and other area lawmakers were successful in a decades-long effort to deliver a much needed hospital and additional freeway interchange for Los Lunas to the county.

“First I would like to thank Rep. Alonzo Baldonado for his service to Valencia County and our entire state, his presence and knowledge of the legislative process will be greatly missed,” said House Republican Leader Jim Townsend (Artesia). “From serving as the House Majority Whip to serving on the Education Committee, and standing up for conservative values, Rep. Baldonado has always worked diligently to move New Mexico towards prosperity. Our entire Republican caucus sends our thanks to Rep. Baldonado and wishes him the best in the future.”

According to state law, the Valencia County Commission will appoint a replacement State Representative for House District 8.

Expert Commentary

What should families consider when choosing a place to set down roots?

“Families typically consider personal and practical matters when deciding where to set down roots. Factors such as where extended family members are located and where parents’ jobs are based are often primary concerns. However, changes related to the COVID-19 pandemic have led many people to re-assess where they live. Many people have questioned whether they want to remain in their current jobs, and remote working arrangements have disconnected employment locations from their residences…Families also consider the cost of living; the space that they can afford; whether they want to live in an urban center, the suburbs, exurbs, or rural areas; as well as the lifestyle and resources that each community can offer.”
Steven Meyers, Ph.D., ABPP – Professor and Chair of Psychology, Roosevelt University

“In the end, each family must assess its own priorities. What do we value the most? Education, outdoor activities, liberal/conservative/libertarian ideologies, rural land vs. walkable city, etc. If contemplating a move, the salary must be considered in the context of community fit, affordability, and quality of life.”
Preston A. Britner, Ph.D. – University Teaching Fellow and Professor, University of Connecticut

To what degree is a child’s development and a family’s quality of life influenced by the state in which they live? How?

“Overall, neighborhoods and communities have major impacts on children’s development. Neighborhood safety, school quality, air and water quality, green space, economic opportunities for parents, access to quality food, and positive social connections are the building blocks for children’s futures. Resource-rich communities can be found in all states, but states do have different cultures, and from those cultures, differing family policies have emerged.”
Heidi Stolz, Ph.D. – Professor and Director of Parenting Education Lab, University of Tennessee, Knoxville

“State-level policies, political ideologies, and economic health can all have a big impact on family quality of life and child development outcomes…ZIP Codes within states might matter even more, in that median family income, tax policies, school quality, employment (rates, wages), housing (quality, affordability), health/safety, and environmental quality are localized.”
Preston A. Britner, Ph.D. – University Teaching Fellow and Professor, University of Connecticut

How can authorities make their states more attractive to young families?

“Young families desire and require access to quality health care, a range of human services, quality education, affordable and healthy food, and safe neighborhoods and homes. They are also looking for a sense of belonging in their community, so family-centered activities and opportunities are important to them.”
Theresa J. Russo, Ph.D., CFLE – Special Assistant to the Provost and Professor, State University of New York at Oneonta

“To attract young families, states can invest in education, and cultivate and feature other family-friendly resources for which they would like to be known. But the real issue isn’t “attracting” families, as those families presumably have enough of their basic needs met that they can choose their location. The real issue is providing high-quality building blocks to the families who already reside in the state, and particularly to those who were not able to select a resource-rich community.”
Heidi Stolz, Ph.D. – Professor and Director of Parenting Education Lab, University of Tennessee, Knoxville
