4 reasons to boycott the Winter Olympics in China! MY GOODNESS AMERICA, WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE! 

A few weeks ago, when we released the 2022 World Watch List, Open Doors CEO David Curry made that call to action.

China is a beautiful country with a rich history. No doubt, the Olympic games—which start tonight—will focus on that beauty, as the best athletes in the world gather to compete in Beijing. But there is a dark side to this year’s Winter Olympics.

At No. 17 on the World Watch List, China is also home to some of the world’s most vicious human rights and religious rights violations. 

Christians and other religious minorities—most notable the Uyghur people—are suffering at the hands of their government. As God’s people who stand with our persecuted sisters and brothers, we cannot reward the Chinese Communist Party’s brutal behavior by simply carrying on as usual during the Olympics.

Here’s four reasons why Opens Doors is calling every Christian to take decisive action during this year’s Winter Games:

We’re following the call in Hebrews to remember those who are suffering for Jesus as if we, ourselves, are suffering (Heb. 13:3).
