Are You On God’s Potters Wheel?

Good morning beautiful people, good morning. Yesterday, my grandchildren and I played with playdough. They used cutters and their imaginations and made their own personal work of art. They pressed, squeezed, cut, rolled, they did it all. Then they took the dough and put it back in the container. Then a few hours later they started all over again.

It reminds me this morning, of the journey of life. God takes every day ordinary people and shapes their lives. He puts gifts and talents in everyone. He molds, shapes, encourages, he stretches, and he watches over his Word to perform it in our lives.

Today, let’s once again thank him for the potter’s wheel. Let’s thank him for creating us in his likeness. Amen? Amen.

Let’s Pray:

Father, thank you that you lead and guide us every day as we submit our lives to you. You mold us, you shape us, you change us, and you make every crooked way straight in our lives. Thank you that shape, reshape and form us into your likeness. Every broken piece of our lives healed by the power of your hand and your Word.

Thank you for changing us from glory to glory. We give our lives to you, oh God. May you use us any way you can. Amen.

Have a blessed day God’s beautiful people. Be captured by His presence today. Stay on the potter’s wheel.

Jeremiah 18: 1-10 This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord: “Go down to the potter’s house, and there I will give you my message.”  So I went down to the potter’s house, and I saw him working at the wheel.  But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him. Then the word of the Lord came to me. He said, “Can I not do with you, Israel, as this potter does?” declares the Lord. “Like clay in the hand of the potter, so are you in my hand, Israel.  If at any time I announce that a nation or kingdom is to be uprooted, torn down and destroyed, and if that nation I warned repents of its evil, then I will relent and not inflict on it the disaster I had planned.  And if at another time I announce that a nation or kingdom is to be built up and planted, and if it does evil in my sight and does not obey me, then I will reconsider the good I had intended to do for it.
