Time to call out the National Guard in New Mexico
FGGAM Shares a Biblical Worldview Everyday:
“The Biblical worldview says there is a God—One who is personal, powerful and caring—who created the world and everything in it. It states unequivocally that man is created in God’s image, living in essence as God’s co-regent over creation. Mankind—born and unborn, rich and poor, able and disabled—has intrinsic worth. Almighty God is a sovereign God, ruler over nations, states, empires, and governments. He is to be worshiped and obeyed through the precepts and principles revealed in His infallible Word. He not only exists, but He is sovereign over all of history according to His wisdom and purposes, and He is intimately involved in every aspect of life.”
Franklin Graham, “A Biblical Worldview in Today’s Culture”
My tough love message……….
I posted the results of the NM GOP Pre-Primary Convention about 3am Sunday before I left to preach at The First Baptist Church in Glenwood, New Mexico. I would have written more yesterday but I did not have time. it was a 500 mile trip, I got home at 6pm. I so much love rural New Mexico. It is a blessing to get away from the chaos of they city. I had heard from two reliable friends about many delegates leaving the convention because of the delay in voting, a glitch in the electronic voting system. They had to switch to paper ballots. During this time, over 30 delegates left, they would not wait. One friend told me it was closer to 90. If your a delegate, do you not have the responsibility to wait? Help me out on that? I wanted to share with you how the Santa Fe New Mexican reported this mess. If the GOP wants the Governors seat, they better start behaving like adults. Politics is so very dysfunctional, a leading cause of the mess we are in as a country. I strive to remain unbiased when reporting. The GOP has good candidates, they should strive to get along. Infighting does no good, don’t mess it up, your just showing the Dems what they want to see, eating your own. The New Mexico GOP should consider a leadership change at the top. This dysfunction has held the party back. A true leader would nip this in the bud. Many Republicans have told me over the years, “We eat our own.”
Show our children, the future of our Country, what it means to be a true leader, a peacemaker, bringing people together for the cause.
I always tell Christians to behave themselves, show people JESUS! Your bad behavior shows unbelievers just what it wants to see from Christians.
I wouldn’t let any politician organize my garage sale!
Ronchetti steps up damage control after poor finish at GOP convention
Yesterday while I was preaching at FBC in Glenwood, New Mexico I got this update below from the NM GOP! BOY! They sure need to check their own voting systems! I believe this is the second time this has happened to the GOP at their convention in recent times when Eddy Aragon raised holy cane about the voting process. Now the GOP has corrected the vote tally for one candidate from this past weeks convention:
CORRECTION IN PRE-PRIMARY STATE CONVENTION VOTE
Albuquerque, February 27–The Republican Party of New Mexico would like to provide the following correction regarding the percentage of vote for 1st Congressional District candidate Michelle Garcia Holmes at the Pre-Primary State Convention yesterday: she received 28% of the vote, not 42%. Garcia Holmes will still be on the ballot in June.
FGGAM Received the final results overnight. There was a delay in releasing the results after the electronic voting system encountered glitches. RPNM moved to its back-up plan to have paper ballots.
Here is the press release we received:
NEW MEXICO REPUBLICAN DELEGATES AT PRE-PRIMARY STATE CONVENTION ELECT SLATE OF CANDIDATES FOR JUNE 2022 PRIMARY ELECTION
Ruidoso, NM, February 26– Today nearly 1,000 Republicans from around New Mexico took part in the RPNM Pre-Primary State Convention. Hundreds of delegates, selected from their counties to attend the Convention, elected Primary candidates for governor, lieutenant governor and New Mexico’s three Congressional seats for New Mexico’s June 7, 2022 Primary Election. Candidates for four statewide offices were unopposed.
The votes capped an exciting and successful Pre-Primary State Convention administered by Convention Chair and RPNM Chairman Steve Pearce. The Convention included speeches by the 16 candidates.
Voters decided that the following candidates will be placed on the Republican Primary slate for the June 7 Primary Election:
In the governor’s race, Jay Block received the most votes and will top the ballot. Rebecca Dow and Greg Zanetti also got enough votes to be on the ballot.
In the lieutenant governor’s race, Anthony Thornton will be the only GOP candidate on the ballot.
In the 1st Congressional District race, Louis Sanchez will top the ballot. Michelle Garcia Holmes is also on the ballot.
In the 2nd Congressional District race, incumbent Rep. Yvette Herrell, who was unopposed, will be on the ballot.
In the 3rd Congressional District race, Alexis Martinez Johnson will be on the ballot.
The following candidates were all unopposed and will be on the ballot:
Secretary of State: Audrey Trujillo 100% 681 votes
Attorney General: Jeremy Gay 100% 678 votes
State Treasurer: Harry Montoya 100% 679 votes
Commissioner of Public Lands: Jeff Byrd 100% 670 votes
“This has been a spectacular Convention,” said Convention Chairman and Republican Party of New Mexico Chairman Steve Pearce. “It was a magnificent display of Party unity and commitment to our mission, and you could feel the energy and confidence as we head full steam into this important election year. We have elected a top-flight group of candidates who are focused, diverse and who all adhere to conservative principles and values. The Republican Party of New Mexico is very excited with this slate of candidates, and we have continued confidence that our Party will lead the way for much-need change in our state’s leadership and direction.”
