God’s Love is Grand!
Trying to describe God’s love can be somewhat overwhelming.
Although there are so many scriptures about the love of God, It’s truly doubtful that we can ever comprehend it.
John 3:16 will give us an idea of the depth of His love for us.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
We cannot ever comprehend Gods love. We can only comprehend human love. For instance, the love that I have for my children, it’s hard to explain, but there is so much love in my heart for them.
Once you have grandchildren, there’s a whole other level of love, one I never knew existed. It is so deep and so wide, but yet, Gods love is grander than that! One million times grander. Therefore, I cannot comprehend his love for me.
Jesus died in our place so we could have a relationship with God and be with Him forever. ( Eternal Life) …thats true love.
“God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us”
Romans 5:8
But it didn’t end with His death on the cross. He rose again and still lives!
“Christ died for our sins. … He was buried. … He was raised on the third day, according to the Scriptures”
1 Corinthians 15:3-4
This love which He demonstrated toward us on the cross is just the beginning. When we place our trust in Him as our Savior, He adopts us as sons and daughters, we inherit his Kingdom!
Jesus is the only way to God. Jesus said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me”
John 14:6
You see, God’s love is personal. He knows and loves each of us personally. His is a mighty love that has no beginning and no end.
Why does God love us? It is because of who He is:
