A Humble Leader Is an Effective Leader, Leaders who underrate themselves are more effective

Paul certainly didn’t sit on his hands while people were dying and going to Hell… It reminds me of DL Moody… One day he was walking the street. A man was moving in the opposite direction when Moody asked him, “Are you a Christian?” The ole grump snarled, “Mind your own business!” Moody answered, “Sir, this is my business.” And it’s our business too! We should never get used to hearing the sound of footsteps marching off to hell. 

OH MY!!! I am looking for politicians who are a humble leader! Humble leadership is rare in America! Lord, help keep me humble, may I even be more humble. Amen!

According to research, the most effective leader is a humble leader. Research led by Jack Zenger and Joseph Folkman discovered that leaders who underrate themselves are more effective than those who rate themselves high on self-assessments.

These results are no surprise to Christians. One of the greatest leaders in our collective story is Moses, God’s servant who led God’s people out of Egyptian slavery. Of Moses the Scripture says, “Moses was a very humble man, more so than anyone on the face of the earth” (Numbers 12:3).
