Today, there are some of us who need an awakening. We should assess where we are and look at our families. We should ask where the path we are headed on will eventually take us. Ask, if your family is going to change, who’s going to change it? Where does God want to wake you up to be part of the solution? God knows how to discipline you, and He will for your good. First Corinthians 11:31-32 reminds us, “if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged. But when we are judged, we are chastened by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world.” God wants to wake you up, for your sake and the sake of those around you. Will you respond?
- Where might God want to wake you from your spiritual slumber?
- How might you best position yourself to receive this awakening?
Last Saturday I officiated the funeral service for a young man that was shot to death at a gas station in Albuquerque. It more than breaks my heart. Last night in Albuquerque there was another shooting at a gas station. I strongly believe the City must have a curfew! I beleive it is was beyond time to call out the National Guard to help our Police officers! YES! You have to pull out all your tools in these very, very bad times. Maybe the Governor and Mayor are scared to do so, as it will show they have failed in their leadership roles. Where is the City Council on this? It is only going to get worse, if strong action is not taken. Remember the riots in America the 60’s? The National Guard helped out in many cities. Face the facts, Albuquerque is dying, you can put lip stick on a pig, but it is still a pig, no matter what your cheer leading Chamber of Commerce says!
The National Guard can assist our Law Enforcement heroes, park there vehicles at strategic locations in the city. Albuquerque Police had a 12 hour Swat standoff yesterday. They are overwhelmed with 911 calls, so understaffed, as the Mayor and the City Council has failed big time to help our heroes! Some of media refers to our heroes as cops, can they stop that? Show them the respect they deserve, they are Police Officers, Law Enforcement Officers, Deputy Sheriffs, State Police Officers, NOT COPS!
When you see our heroes…THANK THEM FOR THEIR SERVICE! Would would ever want to be a Law Enforcement Officer in Albuquerque?
I would not go out after 8pm if I was you. Sharon and I abide by this rule. Certainly stay away from gas stations, that seems to be a high point for these shootings. Do not put yourself at risk.
The way I see it, the job of the Governor and the legislature and the Mayors of the state and the City Council’s is to protect the people and our Law Enforcement Officers. Do everything you can to protect life. Sadly, New Mexico is anti-life, it kills God’s babies through abortion. I have said for years, a very dark cloud of death hangs over New Mexico. The majority of people in this state support anti-life politicians. GUT WRENCHING!
What is stewardship? It means you are doing something primarily for the benefit and goodwill of another person or group of people. When we serve, we look outside of ourself, beyond our own problems, and seek to bring value to others. Christian service. Throughout Scripture, service is the modus operandi for God’s people.
Titus 1:7…. For an overseer, as God’s steward, must be above reproach. He must not be arrogant or quick-tempered or a drunkard or violent or greedy for gain.

Where is the Governor? If the GOP cannot unseat her as governor in the upcoming election, they have real problems. I do not hear any GOP candidate telling us, or showing us, that they will be a law and order Governor. We need a law and order governor! New Mexico is lawless, as America now is. I want to see the plan to fight crime! NOT ‘NOTHING NOISE’
Call out the National Guard! Nothing to lose, everything to gain. Stop playing politics with peoples lives! This is an emergency.
